The autumn has arrived and we are ready to start the dark and sweaty club season with SNOEflakes #2. Again four various and immensely talented artists are presented in the format that successfully brought you some of the biggest hits this summer.

In the second edition of SNOEflakes label boss Andreas Henneberg’s “Confusion” is right on point. A powerful track combining strong synths and an interestingly misleading and fascinating vocal, building some big momentum as it moves forward. Not Usual continues in a lighter mood with “Tasty”, a proper Tech-House banger serving us feisty percussions and an incredibly catchy groove. A new edition on SNOE, Alec Troniq is setting the standard of what to expect from him with “We’ve Been 1000”. The track shows his mastery of uplifting, proper club music through its strong characteristics made up by the solid bassline and the crooked and, oh so charming, synth work. Our Dutch friends Kamara’s track “Motor City” perfectly rounds up the EP with it’s addictive groove rolling climaxing in a dreamy break taking it to the next level. We have been very lucky to have so many high qualitative tracks coming together for our second SNOEflakes, now it is your turn to enjoy.

Years ago @little_by_little from France and ALEC TRONIQ from Germany met at a gig night in Brighton. Without further ado they teamed up in summer 2016 on WIRED and LITTLE BY LITTLE's remix of Alec's "Okay Alright" startled the Tech House DJ scene. Now here's his next diaphoretic: "What's Going Down" rolls without ambiguity. Based on its initial track idea, ALEC TRONIQ joins and creates a whole different, hymnic vibe in a collaboration track: "Down And Downer".

"After his massive 2k16-single „Knock Knock Knock Knock“ we see Alec Troniq deliver another equally strong release on Formatik Records these days, once again proving that this young, aspiring producer is ready to kick some ass with his on point productions which have been rinsed heavily by the label heads of Format:B throughout the past months. The title track „Hotch Kick“ leads us straight to the heart of the dancefloors with a grinding, toolish intro sequence before a well-lively synth motif and epic, slightly distorted signals are setting the roof on fire, even in open air parties with no roof at all. This tune's a weapon of mass euphoria! With its title „Why Not Bizarre“ the second tune on this weighs in a little bit of a sexual connotation even before the first bassdrum kicks in to cater a slow and marchin, yet well technoid foundation for dark bassment parties yearning for a little bit of risky dancefloor eroticism and killer stab fire."

Alec Troniq is back on SNOE with a boundary transcending release. In the two original tracks he stays true to his unique style that combines explosive grooves with gritty synths catching the listeners right from the first beat. “Many Fails” takes the lead with only one direction possibly, forward. The raw synth twists and turns, leaving no room for standing still on the dancefloor. Continuing with the same intensity, “Till We Flop” brings an immensely punchy groove underlined with vocal elements, which are complimented by a strikingly solid drum work. Being a part of the label “This Ain’t Bristol”, Josh Brown is known for his innovative productions, often moving between different genres and in this creating his own. This time Josh joins the SNOE family with his “Till We Flop (Josh Brown’s Keep It Hot Mix)”, a track that truly reflects his roots and adds a proper dose of dirtiness to the release. He has done it again! With his second full EP on SNOE, the mystical Alec Troniq delivers two new bangers that are destined to set every dance floor they come across on fire. “Key Mo” is the title track, and the sound is dirty, rough and ecstatic at the same time, just as we love it. An eerie synth introduces the whispering vocal building up to a big momentum where the track erupts in fury. 

Andreas Henneberg has joined in on the EP with his own interpretation of “Key Mo”. The heavy bassline in the remix vibrates along the synths and skilfully molded vocal elements from the original, giving it a true Henneberg touch while still keeping the oh, so explosive style. Rounding up the EP is “Chivy”, a slightly lighter but not less groove infested tune with a whirlwind of sounds working together towards the addictive, synth underlined drop where you just can’t stand still.

Slovenian DJ and producer UMEK has released Ravaged, his third EP of 2019, on his own 1605 label, out 19th July 2019. 

Opening proceedings, the acid-soaked title track sets the tone with its domineering kick drum and squelching 303s. An even heavier affair, ‘Cacophonous’ delivers a pummelling, full-frontal assault on the senses, before the EP is closed out by more acid - this time interspersed with melodic elements - on ‘Anomalies In Heart Rate’. It follows on from May’s Vibrancy, a three-track EP that combined a tougher techno sound with more emotive, melodic elements, and the dancefloor-focused 19119, released in April.

I began mixing occasionally in small parties in 2003. But more and more, I started to be disappointed by the pieces which I crossed and that often did not correspond exactly to the music which I would have liked to hear. I lost the taste of the mix little by little.... One day, by riffling through a catalog, I saw this machine, the ' YAMAHA RS 7000 '. I knew in the second that it was resolution in my feeling of faintness of DJ and that I was going to buy it. And that's what was done. After years of stitch and very many left out hours, I understood that I also had a passion, an exuberance in music. Now, in the instants of anger, depression or joy, my feelings make me compose my music, and it is for me much more that I would not have been able to imagine. The only thing which I want to push even farther, it is the distribution of electro movement, what we all make within Urban Structure. Here is.... now, you know my records.
