Cosmic Awakenings is an organic house label run by Lemurian which fuses enchanting melodies and tribal rhythms to create captivating grooves.

Along with original music from Turu Anasi, this new release also includes stunning remixes by Madmotormiquel, plus a collaborative rework from Lemurian and Alvaro Suarez.

The label’s latest offering features two heart-warming originals by Ukrainian artist Turu Anasi, who fuses low slung vocals with mesmerising synth lines and psychedelic atmosphere. He is an artist who's featured regularly on Cosmic Awakenings along with music signed to other imprints ranging from 3000 Grad to Copycow.

German-based Madmotormiquel creates a trippy remix that has a funk inspired bassline that helps transform the track. An accomplished producer, he has also contributed tracks and remixes to other imprints including Katermukke, Bar 25 Music, Sol Selectas and Einmusika.

Lemurian is a Peruvian artist currently living in Tulum, Mexico. A talented DJ and producer, his music is inspired by the spiritual energy of his life experiences. His music often has a shamanistic vibe, and he has featured on other labels ranging from Kindisch to Sol Selectas.

Alvaro Suarez has joined forces with Lemurian to deliver a collaborative remix, but he is also an accomplished solo producer known for his many releases. Originally from Spain but currently living in Copenhagen, Alvaro Suarez has released tracks and remixes on labels such as Do Not Sit, Magician On Duty, LNDKHN and Camel Riders.

ABOUT THE EP:

Kalki, also called Kalkin or Kalki, is the prophesied tenth and final incarnation of the god Vishnu. He is described to appear in order to end the Kali Yuga, one of the four periods in the endless cycle of existence in Vaishnava cosmology. The end of the Kali Yuga states this will usher in the new epoch of Satya Yuga in the cycle of existence, until the Mahapralaya. Kalki is described in the Puranas as the avatar who rejuvenates existence by ending the darkest and destructive period to remove adharma and ushering in the Satya Yuga, while riding a white horse with a fiery sword.

Sadhu (Sanskrit: साधु, IAST: sādhu (male), sādhvī or sādhvīne (female)), also spelled saddhu, is a religious ascetic, mendicant or any holy person in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism who has renounced the worldly life. They are sometimes alternatively referred to as yogi, sannyasi or vairagi.
Sādhu means one who practises a 'sadhana' or keenly follows a path of spiritual discipline. Although the vast majority of sādhus are yogīs, not all yogīs are sādhus. A sādhu's life is solely dedicated to achieving mokṣa (liberation from the cycle of death and rebirth), the fourth and final aśrama (stage of life), through meditation and contemplation of Brahman. Sādhus often wear simple clothing, such as saffron-coloured clothing in Hinduism and white or nothing in Jainism, symbolising their sannyāsa (renunciation of worldly possessions). A female mendicant in Hinduism and Jainism is often called a sadhvi, or in some texts as aryika.

Sūtra, meaning -  string, thread In Indian literary traditions refers to an aphorism or a collection of aphorisms in the form of a manual or, more broadly, a condensed manual or text. Sutras are a genre of ancient and medieval Indian texts found in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.
In Hinduism, sutras are a distinct type of literary composition, a compilation of short aphoristic statements. Each sutra is any short rule, like a theorem distilled into few words or syllables, around which teachings of ritual, philosophy, grammar, or any field of knowledge can be woven. The oldest sutras of Hinduism are found in the Brahmana and Aranyaka layers of the Vedas. Every school of Hindu philosophy, Vedic guides for rites of passage, various fields of arts, law, and social ethics developed respective sutras, which help teach and transmit ideas from one generation to the next.

Yoga Sutras – contains 196 sutras on Yoga including the eight limbs and meditation. The Yoga Sutras were compiled around 400 CE by Patanjali, taking materials about yoga from older traditions

Brahma Sutras (or Vedanta Sutra) – a Sanskrit text, composed by Badarayana, likely sometime between 200 BCE to 200 CE. The text contains 555 sutras in four chapters that summarize the philosophical and spiritual ideas in the Upanishads

Nyaya Sutras – an ancient text of Nyaya school of Hindu philosophy composed by Akṣapada Gautama, sometime between the 6th century BCE and 2nd century CE. It is notable for focusing on knowledge and logic, and making no mention of Vedic rituals

Kama Sutra – an ancient Indian Sanskrit text on sexual and emotional fulfillment in life
