Welcome, everyone, to my release: "Geghama", on FruityAlred Records. You are listening to Alfredo Botta's sacred, shamanic remix. Super ancient moods, inspired by the ancient culture located in the Geghama Mountains of Armenia, around the mysterious sites of Qarahunj and Zorats Karer, the Armenian Stonehenge. The strange animal-looking creature carved out of stone that you see in the artwork is called "The Guardian" and is a part of carvings of creatures called "Vishapakar", or "Dragon Stone". This culture existed around 2000 BC. These and other ancient human dwellings with mystical rock carvings and rock drawings left behind inspired my soul to take a journey deep into the past of mankind. ​ 🎶🪔🗿🗻🗿 🪔🎶

Ben aka Desert Raven (@desertravenmusic) had a vision which he crafted this Track from:
I had a vision of a man who went into the spirit world and found his ancestral mother, crying over one her children who died of starvation. His ancestral father was walking home from a hunt and fell to his knees in grief. One of their children looked up and said to the man, "I will be you, and you will be me." A shaman nearby was lighting a fire and chanting a sorrowful prayer for the family. He then started carving a picture of a lion on a rock. He said, "This is the guardian. He will protect our people. The Sky Father sent him." The shaman pointed to Mt. Ararat and disappeared in the wind.

This song is the ultimate mystical groove. The ultra deep intro with Armenia women singing, mournful duduk, the ancient monastic chant synth pads, the bone shakers and rattles immediately bend our sense of reality and take us way back in time to the times of our primitive ancestors, who lived in huts and caves, living in the mountains, carving their story on rocks. This brings us deeper into the mystic mood, at which point, the oud, bass synth, and kick come in. The slow, strong groove that starts is irresistible. The female and male chants and cries add incredible spiritual power to this haunting, beautiful, ancient mystical tale. The violin that comes in with the most passionate energy. One could come to tears many times in this song, slow down into the deep trance, then suddenly crying out in sorrow to the Heavens. The outro is excellent in how it takes the mystical trance to inescapable depths. The listener will never want to leave this song, but instead desiring to re-listen to and re-sing this sorrowful vision. The listener will also have a heavenly hope within, fed by prophetic, miraculous, powerful messages.

Radical ethnic electronic music journey. It combines electronic and organic sounds, tribal songs, and traditional ethnic instruments from around the world.

The inspiration of this set came from James Hilton's novel "Lost Horizon". The book is set in a fictional Himalayan utopia called Shangri-La, which is portrayed as a mystical and exotic paradise that embodies many Western fantasies and stereotypes about the East.

Overall, "Lost Horizon" can be seen as an example of how Orientalist discourse has shaped Western perceptions of the East, perpetuating romanticized and idealized images of an exotic and mystical Orient that is fundamentally different from and superior to the West.

This new Kosmozoo set was live performed from my Studio in Brussels on ShoutingFire.com for the Kosmo Downtempo Live Nb.86 on the 26/02/2023 (10 Am Pacific Time - 19h Europe).

100 years ago the world lived in chaos. Huge wars between humans, as well as great advances in technology that changed forever the face of the world, a world that according to many artists, lived as a prisoner of the rational mind and that did not allow us humans to understand life and the Universe in its wide spectrum.

This is how, with its mystical origin in Dadaism, Surrealism was born. A movement that sought to explore and venture into the limits of the human mind through art. Initially literature, but also reaching the visual arts and so much more. Then decades later, the first psychedelic artists were born, much closer to music in its origins and who represented a rebellion against the established norms in the face of a world in chaos...

Making this compilation was a leap into the void, a mixture of psychic automatism and cadavre exquis (exquisite corpse) that ended with a very free, authentic and very fresh result, with the wonder of the unexpected, including very purely electronic songs, with ideas of techno and even psy trance, like other more tropical ones with psychedelic cumbia, of course others more pop and the others, those that are usually there in our music, the ones totally trippy.

We hope you enjoy this great compilation full of freedom and unusual ideas, which will help you connect with another world through music, rhythm and love, thank you eternally!

A place where proud warriors march in shining armor beneath the low-hanging sun, their blades gleaming in stark contrast to the clear cold of the North. Amidst this chilling landscape stands a majestic castle, inhabited by a king and queen whose love and rule are as steadfast as the mountains surrounding their home.

But in this world of power and intrigue, it's the women – the mothers, sisters, and lovers of these brave warriors – who, through their mystical powers, shield their men. Every song they sing is a spell granting their beloveds strength. Every tear they shed is an enchantment keeping their foes at bay.

The spirits of the past, fallen heroes, and heroic queens whisper tales of epic battles, of love stronger than death, and of an ancient curse that can only be broken by the magic of the northern women.

Based in Haarlem, the Netherlands, Thomas Gaarthuis, better known by his artist name Thommie G, releases his debut EP on Tropical Twista Records. 

Inspired by his travels to the South American continent, the EP, titled ‘Athinouk’, delivers 3 tracks, touching sounds and elements from the Andes to the Amazon rainforest. 

Thomas was caught by the enchantment of music since the very beginning. Working as a graphic designer for 16 years, it felt natural to step into the world of sound design. Having a big affinity with tribal music since the nineties, he combines organic sounds and rhythms to his productions, carrying the listener to places beyond their audio system. Although not married to a specific genre, his style touches elements of deep, melodic and tribal. 

He produces different sounds for different occasions, mostly by himself, sometimes joining forces with other musicians.His music is played by a number of DJ's, such as Oceanvs Orientalis, Pigmaliâo (Voodoohop), Luis Rosenberg, Urban Cosmonaut Radio collective and more. 

Besides that, 2015 saw the birth of Dancing under the stars (Dansen onder de Sterren), Thomas' own club night in his hometown of Haarlem.

My name is Alfredo Botta, and I'm a DJ, producer, and musician. I've been making music since 1986 using my Commodore 64 and then using my Amiga. By the end of the 90s, I started using FruityLoops to create Techno-based music. Since many years now I've been using Ableton and Native Instruments to create various kinds of music: from Spiritual & Medicine Music to Downtempo over to Techno. 

I like to experiment with music as this gives me my inspiration to be creative. Since 2020 I started DJing and mixing as well as this helps to spread the spirit of the music. In 2019 I created my own record label called FruityAlfred Records which brings together artists from all over the world who share my passion for creating unique sounds through different styles but mostly Organic Downtempo, Electronica, Ambient and Deep House.

Music is a hobby to me which allows me freedom without being under pressure!
