Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

Hierapolis was originally a Phrygian cult center of the Anatolian mother goddess of Cybele and later a Greek city. Its location was centred upon the remarkable and copious hot springs in classical Phrygia in southwestern Anatolia. Its extensive remains are adjacent to modern Pamukkale in Turkey. The hot springs have been used as a spa since at least the 2nd century BC, with many patrons retiring or dying there as evidenced by the large necropolis  filled with tombs, most famously that of Marcus Aurelius Ammianos, which bears a relief depicting the earliest known example of  a crank and rod mechanism, and the Tomb of Philip the Apostle. The Phrygians built a temple dedicated to the mother goddess Cybele on the site probably in the first half of the 7th century BC. This temple, originally used by the indigenous communities living in the Lykos valley would later form the center of Hierapolis. When the Greek colonists arrived and built the city on the pre-existing pattern of settlement, the ancient cult of Cybele was gradually assimilated into the Greek religion. HusnuCanMarley invite you to a journey through time, space and sacred cities. This is his first release for Shango Records. These two tracks can give you hope, spirit and the holy ghost. Regndans and Alexander Barabash are taking a rest in Cybele’s temple.

The mix came about quite suddenly, so to be honest we did it completely freestyle, without planning anything, and we had a lot of fun doing it that way. That's why we've chosen to post this set, which will be our first Anorak podcast. 
In this set, LittleJack & Turgon steer the mix towards the atmosphere that suits them best, a downtempo vibe, where the instruments have time and space to express themselves, where the notes have space, and where we still keep that punchy feel.

The vast majority of tracks in this set come from artists who perform mainly in Germany. We'd like to thank them for giving us such a thrill, your work is both intimate and incredibly accurate. Our main thought for their work is what we'd like to end this description with.
