Some labels may emphasize family and earth friendliness while having a kind gentle spirit. Other labels may work for profit geared toward the building up of itself and a music centered lifestyle. Splice integrates the two, being earth friendly and family oriented with our time and resources, but raw and punk rock in its recordings. Our shows are celebrations with no end and they come from the basic philosophy drawn from the Dionysian spirit.

Splice Records foremost concern is to produce excellent music and merchandise. The second objective is to find our tribe, the people who would love what we produce and whose lives would be enriched by our work, and get that work into their hands. The third objective is to leverage any success, financial or social, toward building greater community and bringing the highest of spirits of celebration into the 21st century.

Sudaka focuses on tropical bass and latin rhythms. More so a DJ curation of music heavily based on syncopation, folklore, and electronic beats.

Evan Charles is the singer, guitarist, and songwriter behind the Austin-based band Altamesa. The band's first two full-length albums, The Long Ride Home (2016) and Idol Frontier (2019), both received 4-star reviews in the Austin Chronicle, with Chronicle music critic Kevin Curtin lauding Charles as "an impressionistic writer whose pen drips with chilling abstractions." In the fall of 2019, Charles was selected as one of six Austin-based songwriters to participate in the international touring and documentary film organization Project ATX6, and in 2019 and 2020, Altamesa was one of twenty bands nominated to Black Fret, a non-profit organization that awards grants to musicians. In the spring of 2020, Altamesa released their first new material since Idol Frontier in the form of a 7” single, "Interstate" and its B-side "Yellow Sky", which were released on Mr. Pink Records, both with accompanying music videos. As Altamesa continues to work on two concurrent full length records that will take the band in an entirely new direction, Charles will launch a solo career in earnest, and has completed tracking for his debut solo record Between Two Worlds.
