Commissioned for AKOUSMA X (http://www.akousma.ca) with financial support from the Canada Council for the Arts, "Terminal Burrowing", like my other recent pieces, uses next to no digital processing, and employs multi-tracked instrumental sound instead.  

In this case the instrumentation includes: trombone, hohner d6 clavinet, hohner pianet-t, yamaha CP60m stage piano, electric bass, electric mandola, snare drum, roto toms, miniature balafon, (toy) glockenspiel, autoharp, tuning forks, cowbells, kazoo, flexatone, found junk, high hat cymbal, toy pianos, flutes, pan flutes, thunder tubes, concert harp, harpsicle, melodica, hulosi, harmonicas, pitch pipes, thumb pianos.

It also uses speakers, transducers, a talkbox, and spring reverb for physical/ acoustical filtering and processing.  And unconventional sounding mechanisms like fans, vibrators, bows...
