I had the great privilege of collaborating with my dear friend (and incredibly epic human) Loretta “Draegan” Laurin on the music for their Bass Flow Yoga workshop at Bass Coast 2022. The workshop took place in the Slowtempo space, which turned out to be my favourite stage at the festival, and I am really happy with how the mix came together.  

Workshop Description:

Facilitator Biography:
Loretta “Draegan” Laurin (they/them) is a multi-talented lover of movement who thrives at the intersection of somatics and social justice. Loretta has over 13 years of teaching experience in embodiment (yoga, dance, pilates, fitness) and social justice education. They host an annual retreat at Hollyhock on Cortes Island, and are working towards a Masters in Counseling Psychology. The perfect balance of grounded depth and ridiculous joy, Loretta’s classes offer a unique fusion experience that will challenge and uplift. HIGHER PLANES DRIFT

EMILY EMBER is a dancer,  DJ, vocalist and budding music producer/ritual artist known as ‘Spring Jaiah’

Growing up in the bushland of tropical far north-eastern Australia, she spent her twenties travelling the world in pursuit of body-mind healing which revealed the power of practice on intentional dance floors and music can have on community. Since her first event in the area as far back as 2015, in 2021 she founded Ecstatic Dance Cairns, bringing diverse flavours and global rhythms to men and women, through full bodied emotional and danceable journeys moving the FNQ region ever since. She is also a somatic-psychology/BA Psych student, shamanic practitioner and servant of creating and facilitating safe spaces for self and community transformation.

Some of her music flavours explored in 2025 include afro beats, world, global bass, drum and bass/jungle, melodic & ethnic house plus many more… in effort of fusing sounds from all across the world, from the Africas to the Andes, Bristol to Berlin and beyond in cathartic ritual ecstasy.

Everything Emily does is to serve re-connection of earth-wisdom and sacred remembrance.
