Today is a special day. I can finally share a new set with you all: Old City Stories - Rue De Moi-Même
. 
It has been long overdue since I released a set and it’s mainly due to a lot of changes taking place in the background, as well as a lot of exploration of what kind of sounds truly resonate with me. I found a disconnect between what I was enjoying playing live and what I had released in the past on Soundcloud. I believe the journey as an artist is to continuously evolve and shape your identity by your own experiences and people you meet along the way - to reflect and express. Rue de Moi-Même is that road within you that has all those answers, but often we are distracted by what we want to believe and cannot see beyond the noise and distractions. I think this past year, more than anything, I have tried to find that road and follow that path that has many unknowns, but feels instinctively right.

With that said :) I hope you enjoy this set and the story it portrays. It is especially heartwarming to release a set knowing that it channels so many artists that I am grateful to have met or interacted with over the past year so thank you for the constant inspiration <3

Oaxaca is known to be one of the most special places to experience Día de los Muertos so, this year, when I was invited to play it and at my favorite set time, I jumped at the opportunity. There is something so special about the 7am set time -- the sun has just come up and you are in control of whether the crowd sticks around or heads to bed. Everyone is at their most raw, unguarded states, proud to have made it through the night and eager to celebrate a new day. And that is exactly what this crowd did, and they damn sure did it well!

What a wild morning this was in the one and only Heinz Hopper <3 Thank you so so sooooo much to all of my incredible friends, my new and old mini fan club (hehe!), and everyone else who stayed dancing with me through this entire journey! After our fifth unforgettable @nonsensecollective it was a pleasure to bring our merry band of revelers over to @sommosoundscapes for a fantastic night of fresh, delicious sushi and mouthwatering cocktails and mezcal.

The restaurant’s architecture and layout create a seductive ambiance, and I was happy to contribute (what I think was) a laid-back and sexy vibe on the dancefloor, which grew throughout the evening.  

This mix evolves from 79 BPM to finish with some classic rock edits at 108 BPM.

I rarely get to put together something like this in such a beautiful setting, so I hope you enjoy listening as much as we all did that night!

Back in the gorgeous valley we call home, with my beloved Pynkers, playing on Saturday night: energy high, vibrations elevated, love flowing, bodies moving, dancing into the night. I have gone through the finest metamorphosis into Violetta 2.0, feeling supported and loved by this community through all of life's journeys. The below verse summarizes it all.
