A guitarist who favors music from the 20th and 21st centuries, but doesn't neglect other repertoire. He graduated from the University of Minho and the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid.

Francisco Silva Cárdenas (Los Andes, 1978)
Compositor y Profesor chileno.
Sus proyectos de creación y difusión de música contemporánea han sido seleccionados en diversas oportunidades por el Fondo para el Fomento de la Música Nacional y sus obras, premiadas en diversos concursos, tales como: Concurso de Composición Luis Advis, Concurso Latinoamericano de Composición del Goethe Institut y Convocatoria de la Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad de Concepción.
 En el año 2009, junto a los compositores Juan Pablo Orrego y Andrés Núñez, funda la editorial de partituras  "Figura Ediciones Musicales", en donde se desempeña como miembro del comité editorial y copista.
Sus más de 70 obras han sido interpretadas por el Taller de Música Contemporánea UC, Trío Croma, Ensemble Nuevo, Ensamble Dibujos, Ensamble Fractus, Dúo Sereno, Orquesta de Cámara de Chile, Orquesta Sinfónica de la Serena y Orquesta Sinfónica de Concepción y dirigidas por destacados músicos como Juan Pablo Izquierdo, Pablo Aranda, Zsolt Nagy,  Guillermo Rifo, Francisco Rettig y Doron Salomon.
Es Cofundador del proyecto educativo, social y pedagógico "Desde Fuera del Centro".
En el año 2022 gana la comisión de obra por parte de la Fundación Teatro del Lago y SIMUC.
Durante ese mismo año  realiza su primer "Concierto Monográfico" en Los Andes,en donde José Luis Urquieta, el Grupo Percusión Valparaíso y el Ensamble F(r)actura interpretaron sólo obras de su autoría.

Francisco Silva  Cárdenas (1978)
Composer and educator based in Los Andes, Chile.
He studied musical composition under Pablo Aranda both privately and at University of Chile and Catholic University of Chile.
Many of his Contemporary Music creation and promotion projects have been selected and funded by Fondo para el Fomento de la Música Nacional.
Some of his compositions have been awarded at a variety of competitions, such as: Luis Advis Composition Competition, Latin American Composition Competition by Goethe Institute and Universidad de Concepción´s Symphony Orchestra´s Competition.
He has written more than 70 compositions, which have been played by Contemporary Music UC Ensemble,  Fractura Ensemble, Dibujos Ensemble and Chamber Orchestra of Chile, among others. His compositions have been conducted by Zsolt Nagy, Juan Pablo Izquierdo, Doron Salomon and Francisco Rettig, among others.
Since 2009, he is the co-founder and a member of the editorial board of “Figura Ediciones Musicales”.
Since 2013, he is the co-founder of the artistic, pedagogic and social project “Desde Fuera del Centro”. This innovative project promotes a democratic access to Contemporary Music in Chilean communities that have not had access to it.
