This set was created to sacrifice one's ego. It was designed to be like a deep-breathing meditation, alternating the breath-in and breath-out motion along the tracks. The only thing that mediates these ups and downs are the tribal percussions which are a common theme in this set. I invite you to meditate and give yourself completely to this psychedelic trance. Don't be afraid to let go of your ego. Embrace the darkness to reach the light.

Yoav Levy, better known as KINAI, is a 29-year-old producer from Ginot Shomeron, Israel. For over six years, he has been crafting high-energy, nighttime psychedelic music. As the founder of Nebula, a series of open-air nature parties, and Kaplika Records, a label dedicated to promoting fast-paced, boundary-pushing nighttime psytrance, KINAI has made it his mission to spotlight Israeli talent on the global stage.

Now based in Berlin, Germany, Sentient Number Six is the darkpsy project of Matthew Martinez, who was born in Virginia, USA in 1992.

Heralding a fearsome coalescence of all things dark and psychedelic, his production style is characterized by deep, ominous basslines, immersive, layered atmospheres, and a sinister palette of organic and synthetic leads.

From eerie, textural forest, to grinding, industrial-edged darkpsy, Sentient Number Six's sound is as identifiable and exciting as it is unique. Bringing his wide and diverse influences to life with his sound design and production prowess, he crafts sonic journeys that blur the line between the natural and the mechanical, leading audiences into the furthest reaches of the psychedelic plane.

"This mix has a solid mix of old and new music, including both my own productions and collaborations with other producers. There are quite a few tracks that are finished but unreleased, as well as a few work-in-progress tracks that I just wanted to test out in the context of a full set. Normally when I play at parties, I like to play DJ sets that showcase a blend of my own music and collabs, as well as tracks from other artists and friends that I'm enjoying at the moment. But for this podcast mix, I decided to do more of a production showcase and only play my own music. Insomnia Records series’ continues with CHROMATEC.

Responsible for this project is Flo from Munich, Germany. Back in the year 1993, he get in touch with electronic music for the first time. A few years later he began playing techno @ parties around Munich.
In 2006 he started producing his own music. After discovered psychedelic music in summer 2009 while visiting some festivals with friends who introduced him to the psychedelic culture, he experimented with this kind of sound and decided to focus completely on psychedelic music production.
His sound nowadays could be categorized as deep and atmospheric nighttime music, defined by deep basses, complex rhythms and abstract soundscapes.

Epic 3 hours recording of my set at Transition 2018 (10th anniversary). Finally after all these years, I upload one of the djsets that I played at a Festival.
Performed between Patara and Parasense at the main floor on Saturday 28th April 2018. I had an awesome time spinning my cds to a crowded dancefloor. It's a long journey through different textures and moods of psychedelia :) From 138bpm darkprog to 148bpm night psytrance. I hope you enjoy the ride!!! :D
