With the soundtrack I had the purpose to shed a light on the interpretative view of music.
As a translation of human emotions, conditions, situations or fantasies, music has the power to create an interaction with the now moment, a sense of timelessness.
The outcome of the soundtrack became a woven journey through beauty and tristesse.
A mind affair which words cannot render.

Roger Van Lunteren is an artist of enviable experience. For morethan two decades the dutchman has been developing and perfecting his sound. After his first steps on Heimelektro Ulm in 1999, Van Lunteren has shown his talents on labels like 030303, Diffuse Reality and Something Happening, Somewhere. It is this knowledge, and his musical craftsmanship, that Van Lunteren draws upon for his debut on FireScope: Future Wounds. The EP is a veritable universe of delights. At either ends of the galaxy you’ll find two takes of the same piece. The
textured “Stop (Sync In)” opens. Satellite bleeps bob on a flotsam and jetsam of pads as strings soar above hedged claps. “Stop (Original) flows in a beatless ambience, heady yet light and ephemeral. Coquettish and playful, “Spätzünder” is an altogether different entity. Dancing between braindance and house, this jam has all the spontaneity of a live track with flourishes of the silken-funk of Chicago. Clouds gather for “IRF4.” Haunted modulations and reel scratches lurk before a slow rhythm lumbers forth. Stalking through a moonless sky, the
track is chillingly atmospheric with an undeniable lo-fi groove. Drums stagger and swell in the sweetness of “Coinc.” Bright and dreamy, the track cherry-picks from a spread of influences and sounds and is emblematic of
the EP.
Future Wounds is a constellation of Roger Van Lunteren’s music. From cheerful and innocent to shadowy and subtle, this quintet is a cross-section of this artist’s abilities. Rich and infinitely varied, five tracks to explore andreturn to.

FS023 Roger van Lunteren - Future Wounds FULL EP PREVIEW

The brand new Sisu Podcast Series: One For provides a soundtrack to your everyday experiences. These will feature carefully selected tracks, accompanied by stories, insights, brief anecdotes and plenty of captivating conversation. 

One For, will be hosted every two months by the charismatic Little Hats, a creative lead at Sisu HQ. Little Hats will be inviting a variety of guests to curate episodes based on their in-depth skills, knowledge, passion and understanding surrounding a particular topic. 

One For: A Cancelled Summer will accompany you as we come to the end of this odd summer. Our presenter Little Hats will transport you from the setting where you have spent so many days, to a more exotic space. Each song guides you to a different region of the globe and is thoroughly contextualised with historical insights. The voyage starts in South America, with some insights into Cumbia and Chica, moving further south to get a taste Bossa Nova and  Samba. From there we take a spin in southern europe, and finish our journeys with some gems from Africa and the French indies. Tune in for some soothing sounds, and insights into these unique musical genres.

Sisu is a community that gives a platform to women, trans women and non-binary DJs and producers. Through DJ courses, events, radio shows, an online mix series and workshops, Sisu aims to connect and nurture new and existing talent in the electronic music community. Artwork designed by Ellie Jane. Ellie Jane is a scouse illustrator and designer who is inspired by the surreal layers to this world and human connectivity. Her work is found within music, radio and events while facilitating workshops in community settings.

Calligraphy album cover, Sisu logo and typography designed by Ellie Heywood. Ellie is a Leeds based artist who has a background in fine art and graphic design, and currently practices calligraphy as a freelance artist.

Template Designed by Mia Lily Johnson. Mia has a highly creative background specialising within Graphic Design practices. After graduating from Central Saint Martins, she went on to work in luxury editorial design.
