DEW is a Christian Rock/Alternative band that brings worship and music together in a humble and reflective manner. Their lyrically heavy, yet musically pleasing songs tell stories of God’s love, wisdom, and truth, allowing audience members to reflect on personal experiences and relate to the messages presented in the music. 

The original group of three-Derek Hennig, Wade Hennig, and Evan Price- formed in Charleston, Illinois in January of 2010, serving as a worship team for Otterbein United Methodist Church. After a few months, Derek was introduced to a few musicians while attending a campus ministry at Indiana State University. One, Matthew McKnight, was a drummer and sound technician, and he offered to record a few songs that Derek had written. Once finished, Matt showed the songs to a friend, Kevin Heiser, who also happened to play bass guitar. A few weeks later, Matt and Kevin officially joined the band, and DEW began playing and leading worship at different churches in the area. As Matt began to sharpen his production skills, he found that drumming was no longer his calling. In need of a drummer, the band contacted a friend, Dustin Weddle, who accepted the invitation to play a show with DEW. The show went extremely well, and Dustin soon became a member. 

The founder and leader of the band, Derek Hennig, found his knack for writing before knowing how to play a guitar. As songs and melodies filled his mind, he discovered a new way of connecting and talking to God. It is evident in the lyrics and melodies that each song was God-given, and DEW now hopes to reach the world with them.

Lead guitarist and keyboard player, Wade Hennig, began his musical career on the piano. After years of athletics, he switched gears by learning to play guitar. Inspired by classic rock guitarists and his love of all genres, he soon developed his own rock style. 

Guitarist Evan Price also picked up the instrument later in life. By playing both electric and acoustic guitars, his versatility allows the band to find and utilize new sounds.

Bassist Kevin Heiser is the most experienced of the group, with events such as ICHTHUS under his belt while playing for other bands. Kevin played the upright bass in a symphony orchestra for a couple years before picking up the bass guitar, which he found to be his choice instrument. Not long after picking a bass up, he quickly used his music background to master the instrument. For DEW, his bass lines create mood and tension, giving the group a dimension of emotion that is crucial to developing the messages within the songs.

As a whole, DEW strives to reach all generations, but they are specifically targeting youth ministry in their music. Using motivation from personal life experiences, the band hopes to use their music to inform the youth of the world of the message of Christ. Using God’s Spirit and Word as a guide, each song has placed them closer to reaching the goal.

Originally from Georgia, living in the Midwest since 2003, and recently back home in Atlanta, Sonny Bamboo is part of Hip Hop’s next generation. Sonny is the founder of the Midwest Division for the world’s first ever rap battle league, Grind Time Now (grindtimenow.com). He has made a name for him self as one of the top battle rappers worldwide, and one of the leaders of his generation in the battle rap circuit. Sonny is the MTV Fight Klub champion for Indianapolis, the Scribble Jam Indianapolis pre-lim winner, a back to back to back Hip Hop Congress battle champion, and has made appearances in such publications as The Source magazine, Midwest Hype, AMPS, and Nuvo among many others. His debut album titled 'Leprechaun Don' came out in November of 2011 Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Sonny is part of Hip Hop's next generation. After making a name for himself as one of the top battle rappers worldwide, he became the founder of the Midwest division of the worlds first battle rap league Grind Time, and currently the host of the Dont Flop USA battles, the largest league in the world currently. His debut album titled 'Leprechaun Don' came out in 2011, and shortly after formed the independent label 'ATLien Workshop' with fellow Atlanta artists Hemi and Ness Lee. He has gone on to release a mixtape and EP under the 'ATLien Workshop' banner, and an solo EP titled 'Cindy' in 2014. His follow up to 'Cindy' is titled 'Vida' and will be available in 2017. Brandon Terzic was born in Akron, Ohio in 1976.
His musical journey commenced at the age of eight, when his father played him the recordings of Jimi Hendrix. Although he wouldn’t begin playing until he was fifteen, his passion and interest was already kindled and sparked.

After immersing himself into a total study of Blues music, and playing  a handful of gigs with his first band, Terzic abrubtly quit playing at the age of 19, sold all his guitars, and flew to Europe. This began a life long obsession of traveling solo and seeking inspiration and knowledge from being alone on foreign shores. When he returned he settled in New York City taking a day job in the booming Internet industry. At this time he began to take his firsy serious Guitar lessons, Studying with Mordy Ferber, and David Fiucznski. After almost 3 years of working 9-5, Brandon again abruptly quit his lucrative day job
And flew to Israel, traveling onward to Egypt and Cyprus. It was during this trip that he began playing  Oud in the old city of Jeruselum, making enough in tips for his daily bread, and getting enough inspiration from the people and the experience that he decided that he had to be a performing musician. 

On his return to NYC, Brandon tried to get a day job again but failed miserably. Running out of time and money he had no choice but to begin playing in the Subway system, and from that point onward he began his career in music. Since then he has performed in the states and Internationally, traveled to Morocco and Senegal studying music, and playing with many incredible Musicians, amongst them Tomchess, Matt Kilmer, Matt Darriau, Rufus Cappodocia, Shane Shanahan, Luke Notary, Hassan Houkmoun, Peter Slavov, John Shannon, Gilad Dobrecky, Mal Stein, George Stathos, Sylvain Leroix, Tom Rossi, Max ZT and many many more. He currently teaches and performs in NYC, and his Debut Album is due June 1rst 2011, with his new band Xalam Project.

Founded by Multi-instrumentalist composer Brandon Terzic, Xalam Project boasts and outstanding lineup of Musicians, featuring Matt Kilmer on Percussion (Simon Shaheen, Lauryn Hill, Haale), Matt Darriau on Horns and winds (Paradox Trio, Klezmatics), John Shannon on guitar (Hiromi), and Peter Slavov on bass  ( Joe Lavano, Jason Moran). Terzic himself plays the Arabic Oud, Malian Ngoni and Turkish Saz. He has spent time in Senegal, Morocco, and Egypt  studying and absorbing their respective traditions, pulling them together to create a rich tapestry of sound which takes the incredible rhythms, tonalities and improvisational systems of  these traditions and inflecting them on the bedrock of Blues, Rock, and downtown NYC jazz that the band’s members are rooted in.  The Xalam Project is available for performance and workshops/master classes.

     Gentleman Caller’s 4th full length LP, “Wake”, seems destined to secure a place among the vaunted halls of the modern era’s greatest bummer records. Like Big Star’s Third or Red Red Meat’s “Bunny Gets Paid”, songwriter Kenny Childers has transformed personal tragedy into a contemplative, mournful collection of songs, full of subtle beauty and beautiful subtleties. Childers’ songs linger and hover, conveying striking imagery, and evocative melodies within a deceptively straight forward packaging. These songs don’t overwhelm... they infect. 
	  Perhaps no song on the album demonstrates Mr. Childers’ ability to navigate complex emotional terrain better than “The Answer.” Composed after the death of Indiana musical luminary, Lon Paul Elrich, the song finds its protagonist traveling back through his life, recounting the ways in which he tried, to varying degrees of success, to find balance and even peace. We are transported back to his childhood class room where his bony frame encouraged ridicule, to the church of his youth, where the preacher’s tales of hell fire and original sin did more to terrify than enlighten, to the pharmacy counter, where the ineffectual anxiety medication was doled out, and to the bar where he sipped beer with the other searchers, and with those who had long since given up the search. And after all this, the devastating final lines, a confession that turns the song on its head - “I did not find the answer in your eyes”. It is a stunning piece of work, and if it fails to give you goose bumps, your goose may not work. 
     Though Childers has flown relatively under the radar nationally, His work with Gentleman Caller over the past decade has earned him a fervent cult of followers regionally. This great regional affection for Childers’ music culminated in the curation of a tribute album earlier this year.  Several regional bands and musicians of note picked favorites from the Gentleman Caller catalog, recorded their own beautiful - or bug fuck crazy - renditions, and submitted them to musicalfamilytree.com.  The Indiana-based archival website funded the pressing of a 300 copy micro edition double vinyl of the album, entitled “Nine Different Kinds of Gone”, which will be released shortly after “Wake”. A fitting companion piece, “Nine Different Kinds of Gone” showcases just how powerful Childers’ songwriting truly is, by filtering it through the lenses of those who admire his work.      “Wake” will be released on Oct. 2nd on vinyl (limited edition of 300), as well as digitally, by Mariel Recording Company, the label of longtime friends, fans, and collaborators, Margot & the Nuclear So and So’s.  Gentleman Caller will also accompany the band on a short run of shows in October, which include a very intimate performance at NYC’s Mercury Lounge.

After years of struggle and perseverance, the Steve Palmer Band finally releases their debut CD “Apparition” on Arythmia Records. Highlighted by stellar musicians, original and inspiring music and piercing lead vocals, their music is “timeless and transcends genre” (Celebrity Café 2010). Muzik Reviews gave it a five star rating adding, “Famous rock bands don't make this kind of music anymore,” and comparing the CD to Skynyrd, Springsteen, Dylan and Tom Petty. 

A ground breaking addition to the east coast rock scene, SPB carries on the proud tradition of winners like the Beatles, Led Zepplin and Chicago. They then meld the classics with contemporary trends generated by Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay and Nirvana. With a unique sound, Palmer hopes to “transcend a segregated music industry and still reach Top 40 charts.” 

The single “Apparition” renews the rich widescreen pop-rock power of the 1970s for the modern zeitgeist. “Nothing To Do,” which Palmer co-wrote in England during an economic downturn, speaks to today’s hard times with enhanced resonance. “Livin A Lie” rocks with an antagonistic edge mocking those who misinterpret and ridicule those who are different. And “Living On The Streets” implores the youth to explore, understand and overcome cultural and religious differences. Throughout the CD there is an aching soul juxtaposed with a snappy soulful backbeat and gospel-inflected background vocals. 

Palmer has gathered the “best players and the best hearts” and formed them into a genuine and committed band. SPB currently includes Bryan Ewald (Musical Director / Lead Guitar), Brandon Bartlett (Drums) and Josh Chapman (Bass). 

SPB recorded “Apparition” live off the floor with minimal overdubs at Nashville’s Blackbird Studios, the ground zero recording facility for the city’s rock community thanks to fellow habitués like Kings of Leon and Jack White. While the CD was recorded three times and mixed six times at Cue, Sterling, Drop Trou Productions and Blackbird, Palmer has finally coerced a dynamic and contemporary sound out of multiple tiers of engineers, musicians and studios. 

“Music was always a big part of my life,” says Palmer. “It says so much about people, their lives and their emotional experiences. And it always made me feel good even in tough times. I could always express myself and my observations and weave stories with my creative mind. . . just like any good writer.” 

After committing himself full-time to music in 2002 and moving to Nashville in 2009, he has spent every waking hour battling fierce headwinds, writing, recording (in at least a dozen different studios), developing his band and growing a record company into a production, distribution and marketing label. Palmer currently resides outside Philadelphia where he grew up, attended Gladwyne Public Elementary School and played soccer, baseball and tennis as a kid.

In running Arythmia Records, Palmer mixes in street smarts he learned earning money working in yards, supermarkets and restaurants, founding a student paper in England, bringing student groups together to promote appearances by Dick Gregory, Chick Corea and Gil Scott Heron, working with Alderman Danny Davis on Chicago’s West Side and working for the disadvantaged in the Washington area.

Born in Denver, the SPB frontman entered his first studio at age 18. “I drew from the music I knew and loved as a kid. I grew up with bands like Steely Dan, The Beatles, the Stones, Peter Frampton and legends like Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Kansas and Billy Joel. And I learned to write from solo artists like Joni Mitchell, Dan Fogelberg, Bob Dylan, Harry Chapin, James Taylor and Usaf Islam (formerly Cat Stevens). And my biggest rhythmic influences were Yes, Led Zeppelin and Joan Armatrading, and all the great jazz artists like Stanley Turrentine, Miles Davis, Oscar Peterson, Herb Albert, Chuck Mangione and Weather Report.” 

Steve also listened to country icons like Willie Nelson, Kenny Rodgers, Dolly Parton and Waylon Jennings, just to name a few. “The first few songs I performed were ‘If I Were A Carpenter’, ‘Sunny’, ‘I Saw The Light’ and ‘Cat’s In The Cradle,’ which also got me writing stories in the different genres.” 

Palmer’s first of many performances to come was in sixth grade. By junior year of high school he had made his initial solo quarter-inch reel- to-reel recordings, followed soon by studio sessions at age 18 in Plymouth, England and then Connecticut with first call New York musicians. His schooling and later work were “to keep one foot in the ‘work world’ and the other searching and writing,” Palmer explains. 

He moved on to record in top studios in the Chicago area, Indiana, Virginia, Maryland, Philadelphia and Nashville. “Unfortunately, no one really reached out or wanted to help and some people actually hurt us, so I just kept on recording and writing because it was something I had to do,” he explains.

In 2002, Palmer made it his 24/7 pursuit. In Nashville he found some dynamic players but he found a second group of great players and good people through his buddy Bryan Ewald. “Touring and recording was so problematic for us that I needed a group of loyal players who could roll with the punches on the road. So Bryan introduced me to Brandon Bartlett on drums and Josh Chapman on bass, both of whom I am tracking “Mirrors In Your Mind” with right now. Bryan has done a lot for me – no question about it. He’s a very giving person and a fantastic player.” 

The members of The Steve Palmer Band boast blue-ribbon live and recording experience with rockers like Mark Farner (Grand Funk Railroad), Pat DiNizio (Smithereens), Warren Zanes (Del Fuegos), Joe Grushecky (Iron City Houserockers), The Pierces and Niles Rodgers as well as such country staples Randy Travis, Little Big Town, Restless Heart, SheDaisy, Ronnie Milsap, Lari White and Ray Price. 

The group recently filmed three concerts in Nashville at Mercy Lounge, Sound Check and 3rd aVenue South, as well as a live music video at Blackbird Studio for their debut CD's title track. Clearly in it for the long haul, Steve’s indie label, Arythmia Records, distributes “Apparition”. “I didn’t want to do it this way but I had to. No one would help.”

“We're trying to bring back the best elements of music, art and culture for anyone who loves and is moved by music,” explains Palmer. As SPB hits the road in 2011 and beyond to spread its sound to every corner of the globe, Palmer is thrilled to finally share the music he has envisioned. He spent 2010 playing in front of Bob Schneider, Sister Hazel and Blues Traveler among others. 

“Getting this CD out to the public is my lifelong mission,” he says. “I am very happy with it and thrilled to try to get our sound out there and finally try to move the people with strong harmonic currents.”
