A selection of 200+ one shot drum hits and effect samples recorded from the various incarnations of my modular synth over the last 6 or 7 years. Many of these sounds have been used on my releases for CPU Records, SolarOneMusic, Fanzine, mindcolormusic, etc, as well as many unreleased tracks and abandoned experiments. In this collection I've tried to strike a balance between unusual but still useable sounds, so don't expect to hear all the classic TR-x0x sounds here.

Jonathan Krohn and Benjamin Mjolsness present their first recorded output since the 2020 appearance on the ‘Out of Practice Vol. 1’ compilation from Standards & Practices Records. 

‘Drummer’ expands on the work Krohn/Mjolsness began back in 2009 with their now defunct group Male. With minimal overdubbing and studio production ‘Drummer’ reprises the improvised spirit of their first performances and recordings.

For this 187th Premiere of 2022, we have a track by a wonderful DJ/Producer/Composer - Ariadne's Labyrinth, titled ‘Deep Streams’, from the forthcoming VA compilation "Sonic Landscapes", an album containing 53 tracks made in memory of Dj and radio presenter Steve Brown, who sadly passed away on March 20th, 2022.

Fukuinn's 3rd release on vivid blue color vinyl. A1 is edgy electro sounds from Bristol's "Lost Signal" resident trackmaker Fazack. A2 is a deep and floating track by Relaxant. He's released an EP on Florklang Records and is one of the hottest young artists out there. On B1, Böhm, known for his acid and bleep sounds, surprises with an acid-heavy masterpiece. His successes and releases in recent years have been very inspiring. Bordeaux's genius, Foreign Sequence, played the best bizarre sound with pleasant melody on the last track.

For our final release of 2022, we return to an old friend to see us out in style. L/F/D/M has previously dropped a cassette EP of tough Electro steppers and an album of Acid hardware jams on Beat Concern, but refuses to repeat himself with this 'Quasi-Modo' EP. These 4 tracks highlight the ever present influence of the hardcore rave continuum to L/F/D/M’s phenomenal output to date.

These tracks nod to that special 1992 period of hardcore, more so than any of L/F/D/M’s other hardcore releases but remain in that ‘meta-state’ of being aware of subsequent genre advancements post ’92 (where were you?)

However, these tracks (or trax?) highlight a pure love for the naivety of the pre-Jungle hardcore period. Breaks prevail, bass is weighty and the stabs hit heavy.

While Fantazia famously took us into 1992(gether), Beat Concern will take you out of 2022 like you were dancing in a field off the M25 30 years ago.
