It is so very wonderful to have discovered a beautiful world of music here on soundcloud. So many talented composers, musicians and artists. This is awesome and overwhelming at the same time... 
                  
I have always considered myself to be mainly a composer and then a pianist. I have been writing my own works since the age of 16. The first instrument that I ever played was a violin at age 6, then I began Classical piano training at age 7. My mother played violin, piano, organ and sang in the choir for the church we attended in my childhood... I hope that you will enjoy my music, it is an art that I love to work at every day....(to be continued)

Lao Chi (aka Lix Method) is first and foremost a bedroom turntablist, and a vinyl enthusiast and collector.  He is secondly an intimate-venue/crowd DJ.

Most proficient with 3-turntable setups and particularly fond of Digital Vinyl Systems (DVS) such as Traktor Scratch and Serato; he does not underestimate the prevalence of the CDJ and has learned to adapt.  

Lao Chi's ultimate goal is to keep perfecting his own personal take on the art of audio montage; by juxtaposing and mixing elements of several diverse records together, weaving them into intricate and extended sonic tapestries driven by dynamism and flow, and characterized by strong elements of structure which allow for the listener/dancer to experience a unique/unforgettable journey, ideally without having to sacrifice the subversive joys of transitioning between different genres and alternating energies and moods. 

He sees this creative (and recreative) process of consistent propulsion towards unattainable perfection as ongoing, evolutionary and never-ending, and as an end in itself.  

Lao Chi is also in love with hip-hop and has been, through the years, influenced by a variety of artists ranging from Nine Inch Nails to Aphex Twin, via Meat Beat Manifesto.

Music was always there for me.
More than 20 years since I began spinning records at home everyday for hours.
Music production came later naturally. As a filmmaker I love creating music for my films.
Club music-Electronica-Idm-Ambient.

Born and Raised in New Orleans, music was my first love. After seeing  James  Bond ‘You Only Live Twice’ in the late sixties, the theme music had a profound affect on me.  I played in Rock bands throughout  the late seventies and eighties, writing and composing rock melodies,  but appreciated all genres of music.  Raising a family became the most important thing for the next 20 years, so music was set aside, but never forgotten. After moving to Nashville in 2018, music has once again stoked this passion for writing and composing music from a low flame into a full burn. Now I find myself on a new and unique avenue writing cinematic music using MIDI guitar and keys.
