Having danced his own way towards freedom since 1998 with his roots in swing, salsa, hip-hop and contemporary styles, he holds a deep connection to the power of dance to liberate, and the importance of the music fueling the journey.

As a deep inner somatic practicioner himself, Wren innately understands his role as an ecstatic technician when behind the wheel of the spaceship: to open the pathway and invite dancers to go where few have gone before. 

He also throws down booty bouncing bass sets that open up your sacral chakra and unwind your spine, as well as deep downtempo sets that drop you into the far reaches of the subtle currents of consciousness.

His broad musical tastes and hyper-attuned facilitation skills offer a container for the numinous experience of spinaesthesia to emerge: seeing sound as movement and becoming the music. Brian Kadmiri (aka Medicine Music) a pioneering force in the San Francisco house and electronic music realm. As one of the founders of the legendary Remedy SF events, he produced transformational experiences for over two decades, DJing for 15 years and bringing some of the world’s most respected artists to the stage.

Brian’s journey began in 1990, during the rise of rave culture, when the rhythms of electronic music became a form of soul awakening. The foundational values of the movement, Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect resonated deeply, inspiring him to dedicate his life to music, community, and creating spaces that uplift consciousness.

Over time, the call to step behind the decks and craft his own music became undeniable, and Medicine Music was born. Following a period of personal transformation and spiritual awakening, Brian relocated to mystical Mount Shasta, known as the root chakra of the planet, to explore the healing power of music and dance in deeper ways. This path led him into the heart of conscious music festivals, ecstatic dance, and spiritually-driven sound experiences.

Brian is the founder and resident DJ of OM Garden, a monthly sacred dance event, and served as co-facilitator for Mount Shasta’s Ecstatic Dance for many years. He travels globally, sharing his signature sound alongside visionary artists, musicians, and producers. Brian describes his music as a journey through mystical, ambient, tribal, and psychedelic spaces. His sets move from deep, organic tribal house to global sounds spanning Meso-American Medicine Music, World Music, ie: African, Latin, Eastern Indian & Brazilian, Electronic Bass Music, Reggae, Drum N Bass, Dubstep, Hip Hop, and sacred frequencies—all intended to uplift, heal, and expand consciousness. “I see all of it as healing medicine music".

Desert Dwellers is a pioneering electronic music project that bridges the ancient and the future, fusing deep bass, world instrumentation, and psychedelic textures into immersive sonic journeys. Founded in 1999 by Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, the project grew out of the legendary Moontribe gatherings in the deserts of Southern California and Santa Fe, New Mexicos desert rave scene. 

Blending influences from many genres, Desert Dwellers has released dozens of albums and remixes, toured across five continents, and collaborated with an eclectic array of artists from around the world. Their music has graced stages at Symbiosis, Ozora, Lightning in a Bottle, Boom, Envision, Shambhala, and Burning Man, resonating with audiences through both meditative journeys and powerful dancefloor experiences.

In 2026, Desert Dwellers will enter its most significant evolution yet. Co-founder Amani Friend will be stepping away from touring to focus on studio production and other creative pursuits, while a new collaborator joined the project, acclaimed producer and mixing/mastering engineer Sarkis Mikael. While continuing to honor the project’s signature sound and ethos “Music Beyond Borders,” Desert Dwellers is now expanding into bold new sonic territories. Sarkis, with releases on respected labels like Sol Selectas, Saisons, and Hoomidaas, brings a fresh creative spark and deep musical integrity.
