London-based singer-songwriter Douglas Dare releases new EP, following on from his debut album Whelm. Named after album track Caroline and new track If I Knew I Were Alive, it also features remixes by fellow label mate Ryan Lee West aka Rival Consoles and Houndstooth’s own electronic producer Ross Tones aka Throwing Snow.
Caroline has always been a precious track for Douglas, one of the first tracks he recorded and a story in which he imagines his grandfather is writing to a loved one during the war. As the only song on his debut album that is stripped down to just his voice and piano playing, and it being a favourite amongst fans at his concerts, it was a natural choice as a first single.

"The Dusk Recital" was borne out of the sessions for Slow Dancing Society’s last album "The Cogent Sea" and is, in part, an instrumental homage to the mainstream dream-pop of the 90s. Cavernous drums, minimal guitar licks a la Roxy Music, and smooth saxophone lines feature prominently across these six tracks, all enveloped in the unmistakable Slow Dancing Society sound and feel. This is Drew Sullivan at his most playful, offering us a glimpse into some of the guilty pleasures he acknowledges as influences, while also delivering a deliciously smooth and immersive listening experience.

Abora Symphonic is pleased to welcome a new face to the family. This is Mr Glorius presenting his new EP 'Phoenixia'.

Starting off with 'Phoenixia', Mr Glorius sets up the tempo and the overall rhythm of this EP. With powerful drums and cello lines, 'Phoenixia' will surely make any of your activities feel epic with this track in the background.

The second track, 'Brave', emphasizes the overall tone of this EP by providing an emotional piece of orchestral music that explores the depths of minor scales and melancholic feelings.

'Elegantia (The Waltz N°2)' majestically concludes this EP in a way that has rarely been heard before. With its mysterious oboe and delicate piano melodies, Mr Glorius takes us on a final waltz that will make you want more of his unique compositions!

An extended version of 'Phoenixia' is included as a bonus, featuring a wonderful piano intro and a longer chorus.
