FSD Zambia is a development organisation that seeks to expand and deepen the financial market throughout Zambia.

We work with financial service providers, policy-makers and civil society to expand Zambia’s financial sector, making the market more robust, efficient and, above all, inclusive.

We use funding, research and technical expertise to help improve policy and strengthen the capacity of our partners to improve access to financial services for SMEs, small-holder farmers and low-income households. Our approach benefits everyone in Zambia, especially those who depend on friends and family for managing money.

Incredible progress has been made throughout the world in recent years. However, globalization has failed to deliver on its promises. As problems like unequal access to education and healthcare, environmental degradation, and stretched finances persist, we must continue building on decades of transformative development work.

The Center for International Development (CID) is a university-wide center based at the Harvard Kennedy School that seeks to solve these pressing development problems—and many more.

At CID, we believe leveraging global talent is the key to enabling development for all. We teach to build capacity, conduct research that guides development policy, and convene talent to advance ideas for a thriving world. Addressing today’s challenges to international development also requires bridging academic expertise with practitioner experience. Through collaborative, in-country partnerships, CID’s research programs, faculty, and students deploy an analytical framework and context-dependent approaches to tackle development problems from all angles, in every region of the globe.

Having carved for himself a niche between mainstream and underground dance music, Eleftherios "El" Mukuka is an unusual story. Born in Lusaka, Zambia to a Greek mother and Zambian father, his appreciation and love for his two diverse cultures not only enriched his identity but also inspired him deeply. The rising African star and Berklee College of Music alumnus is best known for fusing traditional African music elements with Western house music & pop. Mukuka has performed in over 15 countries around the world and on the biggest dance music festival stages Africa has to offer (i.e. Ultra Music Festival South Africa, Corona Sunsets South Africa, Vic Falls Carnival and more).  El Mukuka has had releases on some of the most prominent labels in the dance music scene and in 2020 inked a worldwide artist deal with heavyweight record label Ultra Records. With his international career on the rise and growing demand in Europe, Mukuka relocated to Spain in early 2022, where he currently resides.
