OMG this is Majestic... Awesome... and pure Magic. Excellent composition performed with shear accuracy. I am running out of words for your delightful music, bit I am having a blinding time listening to it. 

This track has always been my favorite. Really beautiful. 

I had this melody repeat in my mind for MONTHS, so glad to finally find where it came from! I thought I remember it way back from '90s hahah, until I just accidentally stumbled across it. Man, it's so deep and awesome !! In my memory of it there was also an expressive beat present, maybe similar to that of Chicane - Offshore. Would love to hear such remix :)

Ultimae label founder Vincent Villuis aka AES Dana returns to one of his favourite emotional fields with (a) Period. and explores these times of forlornness and oblivion in a Cinematic Ambient 10 chapter story. 

As a creative observer, the French artist instantiates our endeavour to establish stillness, he steers the tale with a wide palette of sensitive chords, melting distant rumbles into bittersweet melodies and diaphanous pads thus leading the listener to a state of introspection and intimate isolationism. 

AES Dana's 9th album "(a) period. " stands as an elegy for unimaginable loss, and, as the composer says, "any resemblance with your personal experience is no coincidence".

Bio:

Immersed in the synth-pop and electronica of the Eighties growing up in southern England, State Azure (b. 1972) found early inspiration in Jean-Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, and Vangelis. Deconstructing their tracks ignited his passion, leading him to develop a foundational understanding of electronic music theory, composition and production entirely by ear and experimentation.

He honed his skills as a keyboardist and producer within live bands before venturing into solo ambient/experimental territory. This self-taught journey fostered a deeply improvisational and emotional approach, free from the confines of formal training.

State Azure's sonic world is further shaped by influences beyond music, drawing heavily from science fiction, cosmology, physics, and technology.

Seizing the opportunity presented by the burgeoning online music scene, he launched the State Azure project to connect directly with listeners, debuting with the album 'Outlines' in December 2011.
