A cover of Skinny Puppy's 'Dead Lines' from the 'Bites' album.

This cover is really more of a literal re-creation of the original than a re-interpretation of it (the latter process being the usual route I take when doing covers). However, this project was more of a production exercise, in which I used a small number of software instruments to specifically re-create the sounds, sequences and production style of one of my all-time favorite songs. It was a great learning experience, and turned out better than I expected.

drums were done with Ableton Drum Racks and samples

Zanias - Extinction

Co-founder and label custodian Zanias makes her debut on Fleisch with a journey through climate catastrophe. Composed in Berlin and mixed in Queensland with the smell of bushfire smoke in the air, she addresses the primary anxiety of our time with four tracks designed to draw the body into movement and the mind into action. Body music elements are wrought with mournful melodies and studded with samples recorded from the fast-disappearing natural world, while her voice guides the way through the darkness.

Greek artist June makes his debut on Mannequin Records with the 'Silver Demon' LP. The album explores a futuristic dystopian world where transcendence and oppression coexist, where claustrophobia and infinite openness coincide. A world of contrasts that is the product of the artist‘s active imagination and conscious effort to confront the subconscious.

The album was recorded using original techniques from the golden era of electronic music (late 70s to mid 80s) with an arsenal of vintage analog synthesizers, drum machines and effect processors originating from the same time period. While the aesthetics of the classic precursors emerge through the minimal, deep, dark architecture of June's music, Silver Demon prevails with the artist's characteristic originality.

Premiere #110 Kris Baha - Struck [PS009]

Statiqbloom is the brainchild of Fade Kainer. A project that began in 2014 in Brooklyn NYC, later becoming a duo with Denman C. Anderson (2016-2020). Fade was a member of the industrial doom band Batillus, noise synth dread project Theologian, and he has also worked with Jarboe (ex-Swans) and Attila Csihar (Mayhem, SunnO)))).

Currently based in Berlin, he is combining hardware and software in creating noisy modular-engineered industrial techno and building live sets by meshing heavy hard industrialised rhythms with unfolding blackened atmospheres and disorienting vocals.

Statiqbloom has released on Sonic Groove, Metropolis Records, HANDS, Synthicide and Desire Records.
