Mixing the room recording & the board sounds v ace <3

Next up in the Sorted Series we have a mix from Denver's Padideh Aghanoury, aka   @wngdu recorded from their set at Sorted 15 back in September! Since Padi is also a writer, we decided we'd have them write up some words about the set. 

"This set was one I’d been putting together for close to a year. I’ve been obsessed with this sound for a very long time but rarely find myself in settings in which jittery, dubby, wormhole freaky bass music would be well-suited, let alone warmly received. Yet when the lovely Veronica and Wally of Sorted invited me to join the bill with Bruce, Lee Gamble and GILA, I knew this sound was exactly what I wanted to explore. Not only is the Sorted crew a rare example of truly boundary-pushing curation and embracing of the weirder corners of dance music, so is their audience, so a massive thank you to all who came out and danced. 

This was easily one of my favorite sets that I’ve played in 2022. I am so honored to have been asked to play a Sorted party — a party series I have been a fan of for years — and beyond stoked to have my set featured on the Sorted mix series. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank the Sorted crew for their unwavering dedication to bringing some of the most unique acts in the world to Denver and their benevolent support of all artists, small and large, that bask in the fringes of electronic music.
