SONIC BOOM SIX is an explosive and outspoken five-piece rock band from Manchester, UK described by Kerrang! as "taking ska, pop, grime, dubstep, punk and metal apart, then rebuilding them as a hyperactive hybrid". With a live show known for "clashing activism and good times", SB6 play firmly for the dance-floor while retaining enough power and aggression to be an active fixture of the UK's rock scene. The Boom’s influences include The Specials, The Streets, and Public Enemy and the band signed with Xtra Mile Recordings in early 2012, who released their self-titled titled album ‘Sonic Boom Six’ on October 17th 2012.

Having toured the UK, Europe, the US and Japan constantly for the last six years (while also managing to release three albums on their own label Rebel Alliance Recordings) the band took time out in 2011 to write the ‘Sonic Boom Six’ album and record it with Peter Miles (The King Blues, Futures, We Are The Ocean). The release of the infectious first single ‘For The Kids of The Multiculture’ gained SB6 a new audience and industry champions, being playlisted on national and regional radio and TV, gaining ‘Single Of The Week’ on Kerrang! Radio and being chosen as ‘Record of The Day’ on industry tastemaker site recordoftheday.com.

Sonic Boom Six has released 4 studio albums and two full-length compilations with countless singles, EPs and compilation appearances. SB6 has performed headline tours of Europe, America and Japan as well as slots at festivals including Glastonbury, Download, Sonisphere and the main stage at Reading and Leeds Festival. Sonic Boom Six has written and performed songs that have appeared on BBC Radio 1, Channel 4, BBC 2 (TV), Rock Band and Sims 3 video games and much more.

East London’s latest punk rock offering, The Howling, are a super-strength shot of adrenaline into the beating heart of rock n’roll. Bringing together incendiary guitar riffs, hard-edged dance synths, gut wrenching basslines and ballbusting drums, they’re topped off with the kind of in-yer-face vocals that pin you to the floor and leave you gagging for more.

The first taster of what’s to come from their debut album is unleashed today as a special Halloween gift. ‘Dance Of The Skeletons’ delivers the unique sound that has already amassed a loyal fanbase.

Blacky, Chappell, Jackyboy, Grimes and The Rev, who appropriated their name after the neighbours of Great Eastern Studios complained of “HOWLING through the building” during recording sessions, have already had an amazing year, selling out every show they’ve played to a growing audience each time, from Notting Hill Arts Club to the Borderline. 

The hype that’s followed an unsigned band selling out venues like Camden Underworld within days of tickets going on sale has grabbed the attention of The Prodigy’s Liam Howlett, comedian Noel Fielding and Brit-rockers Kasabian who The Howling have even gone on to support live, with lead singer Tom Meighan declaring, “The Howling are the best rock band in the last 20 years”. 

Earlier this month they toured the UK with Volbeat, including tearing up the stage at Brixton Academy, and over the summer played Download Festival (check out their performance of ‘Hole In My Head’ here), delivering a full throttle performance that won them even more devoted worshippers.
