Thought Criminal is a multi-genre DJ from Aberdeen in Scotland, best known for high-energy vinyl mixes of hard, bouncy
rave/industrial/acid/oldskool techno. She plays at clubs and parties all over Scotland and has featured on live-streams, podcasts and radio shows for collectives all over the world.
Thought Criminal is resident and co-founder of Aberdeen’s Fierce Collective, a group who promote other womxn/nb DJs and producers and provide DJ skills workshops. She hosts the two Fierce Collective radio shows, which feature womxn and nb DJs and producers, and organises the Fierce club nights in Aberdeen, which combine womxn and nb DJs with live art.
She is also a resident at Aberdeen's Binary School/Binary Trax, a club night and label showcasing local electronic music producers, and Aphrodite, Aberdeen's queer dance party; and is a member of the international female:pressure network.

It was the 3rd Wednesday of the month, the 10th month of the year and the 9th month of our 6th year rinsing techno and acid techno on Safehouse Radio!!!

Octobers edition of We Speak Techno is rammed full of quality aural delights with 2 hours of pounding techno and acid to soundtrack your midweek techno sesh.

Host One Dirty Ape gets the show started at 9pm before handing the decks over at 10pm to our guest this month, Fierce Collectives Thought Criminal.

@Thought-Criminal-1 is a multi-genre DJ, but she is best known for energetic vinyl mixes of bouncy industrial/acid/oldskool techno.
She is resident and co-founder of Aberdeen’s Fierce Collective, a group who promote other womxn/nb DJs and producers and nurture those wanting to learn. Thought Criminal hosts the Fierce Collective radio show 8-10pm, second Monday of the month on www.mixhitradio.co.uk, and is a resident on Fierce on FNOOB every 4th Wednesday on www.fnoobtechno.com. Both shows feature womxn and nb DJs and producers of all genres from around the world, with a complimentary mix from Thought Criminal.
Thought Criminal organises the Fierce club nights in Aberdeen, which combine womxn and nb DJs with live art. She is a resident at Aberdeen's Binary School/Binary Trax- a club night and label showcasing local electronic music producers and also at Aphrodite, Aberdeen's queer dance party. Sadly, along with the DJ skill-shares, all these nights are on a long pause due to Covid-19, but Thought Criminal is a healthcare worker so she’s kinda busy at the moment anyway!

mercyTechno - Thought Criminal "Aberdeen"

This is Draw The Line Radio Show with Jacki-E, presenting the best music from female producers and DJs.
Helping me Draw The Line this week it’s Thought Criminal from Aberdeen in Scotland. A vinyl DJ known for hard, high-energy mixes combining industrial, acid and old skool techno with a liberal sprinkling of trance, rave and hard house, she’s inspired by the women and queer DJs who dominated Aberdeen’s club scene in the 90s and early 2000s, Her first DJ gigs were at Aberdeen LGBT clubs Castro’s and Fidel’s. Recent gigs include dark, dirty house in Dundee for Dirty as Funk where she holds a DJ residency; Edinburgh for all-womxn collective Epika; and brutal techno in a grain silo in Fife for Bad Bhudda. Last summer she headlined Sabotage, an underground party that has quickly grown into Aberdeen’s premier queer clubbing event. In June she’s DJ-ing at queer cabaret night Glory and a multi-rig free party. The set she’s done for us is an all vinyl- 90s classics, hard house with a hiNRG Trade vibe recorded at experimental queer performance event Crack.

"The world is a mess- violence against women is getting worse rather than better, at both the individual and societal level. This is an angry mix dedicated to all womxn suffering violence and oppression. 

All the tracks in this mix are by womxn, nb or queer artists. It is a vinyl set, apart from the first two tracks and the last one- these are not available on vinyl, but fitted my theme so perfectly I just had to include them.
I was going to spit more bile, but the last track says it better than I ever could."

Dj Parrux - Spazio Magnetico Podcast [003]

Tomashevsky - Polish DJ, born in 1991. From earliest boyhood times he was the collector of music CDs, tapes and vinyls. Influenced by his older brother, with unlimited access to the music of Electronic, Rap, Jazz and Rock pioneers. At the age of 16 he got ahold of one of Sven Vath’s electronic CD’s and it was like nothing else he’d ever hear before. This music surprised him with it’s freshness and uniqueness. Thanks to his cousin he had the ability to DJ in a local club. The dance floor back then was full of sounds of the Prodigy, Pendulum, Chemical Brothers and Minimal music from the Minus barn. In 2011 he took DJing to the next level and had his debut in the Redhouse Club in Czech Republic as DJ Teyot D. His known by his own unique DJ style, not bounded to any particular branch of Techno music. He feels comfortable with playing Techno, Acid, Tech house, nu disco and deep house. While listening to his music you have to be careful to not get too mesmerised by the hypnotic, minimalistic notes he is known for. He picks his selection very carefully and be aware because you just might like it too much!
