The Bells Are Ringing

My latest track after a very long break. This one is grown as something between simple rock riffs and some jazzy elements, hope you like it.

Also this time I used the Kemper Profiling Amp with a Les Paul Traditional (HB), a 46 years old Les Paul Special (P90/solo part) and a Ibanez fretless bass. The backing track with all guitars and bass was recorded with RiffWorks by Sonoma Wire Works, all other playthings and mastering was made with Logic Pro X and TrackS. The midi piano is a plugin by Native Instruments, a Rhodes MK I. I used different amp rig's like a Marshall JVM H410, Morgan AC 20, Two Rock, Ampeg for bass and also some Morphing FX's to control distortion, delay, modulations and stereo panorama with a pedal.

Back On Solid Ground

This song has long been on my hard drive. Sometimes you need help to get a song ready. The first step was, I made the singing myself, but without lyrics ... haha, that sounds really funny... lalala ... blabla. Then I asked Jim Dye to play some keyboards, and afterwards I thought this song would be something for Ray Treacy† (R.I.P) ... and yes, he did a great job with the vocals, just like Jim with the keys of course. I'm glad to present a really nice song... just "Music for the Soul". Everything was recorded with RiffWorks Standard by Sonoma Wire Works and then polished with Logic Pro X... mastered with T-RackS. This is just jazz, ok may be smooth jazz. I did this together with my friend Jim Dye from Nashville and I am always thankful when he plays on my songs. The idea was to experiment with the genre jazz respectively simply to get good mood through music. But anyway, sometimes it's fun to try something other as hard rock.
As best you listen it on sunday in the morning to your breakfast, but only when the sun is shining :) Hope you like it, enjoy.

This was created during a lazy day last Christmas and put into the 'its ok, I may come back to it later file folder', it is was originally quite a lot calmer than the track it is now, but I had forgotten about the track, and it is in fact what it was when I left it, so I felt it was now worthy of being heard by the masses (well at least two people. I play all the instruments, produced it, mixed it, mastered it, and have now posted it.
