A few months before my dear friend and collaborator Pat Howell passed away, he shared a chord progression with me (heard at the beginning) that became the song's foundation and wanted to see if I could make something of it.  I fleshed out the progression into a song, but by then he had become too ill to help me finish it.  The song languished for months and then I thought maybe Seagull could finish the thought Pat and I started.  His additions were superb and not only completed the song, but a weave of friendship that started with Pat's inspiration. Rest in peace my friend, and thank you dear Seagull for making our initial weavings a reality.
