Step Back J is a hip hop artist/producer/engineer from sunny Santa Barbara, CA. He first fell in love with hip hop the moment "Yeah" by Usher hit the radio and since then had began writing music. Although 2017 was the first year he has been serious about making making music, he has been performing since 2015. Step Back J has opened for up and coming artists as well as some big time artists such as Philthy Rich, Joe Moses and Nef The Pharaoh. With Step Back J's versatile style and creative punch lines, he truly turns hip hop into his own art. His music will cover anything from a good time at a part to more serious issues around the globe.
