Dave Seaman and Steve Parry are on a mission. It has consumed their whole adult lives.
It’s all about music. Finding music, playing music, creating music…and above all, SHARING music.
 
As the means of production, creation, distribution and all those other words ending with -ion have changed over the decades, Steve & Dave have effortlessly gone with the flow, never allowing the mission to be knocked off track. And for the last 11 years, the method by which they have shared new music is though their beloved, bespoke label, Selador.
 
Selador’s Showcase compilation releases have long proved a prime hunting ground for the best of the new, and we now reach the twentieth incarnation of the series with another collection of exclusive club cuts especially assembled from around the world.

Here is the first of three EPs featuring said exclusive tracks dropping over the next few weeks. The first 5 tracks coming from Melbourne, Buenos Aires, Berlin, Austria and Chicago courtesy of Sam Hopgood, Non Citizens, Los Cabra, Mango & The Wash and Nick Stoynoff. It’s a truly global affair!

We love a good collab here at Selador Towers – and they’re always born out of friendship, mutual respect and like-minded creative souls – not them there pesky algorithms. This is how Steve and Kris (as he’s known to Mr & Mrs Candles) found themselves holed up together concocting the ace tuneage we now present for your delectation and delight.

‘Mysko’ was teased on Dave Seaman & Anthony Pappa’s exclusive Selador Showcase 20 mix, and just like in days of yore, when hot tunes were…er…showcased on mix comps ahead of release, the enquiries storming in down the wires to HQ meant a single release was imperative. Of course, by this point our trusty troubadours were already in workaholic mode, and sister tune ‘Soul Repeat’ was already nearing conclusion.

The vibe? Melodic. Dreamy. Uplifting. Goose-bump-inducing. Intricate. Subtle. Classy. Guaranteed to generate secret smiles and knowing looks between strangers on the dancefloor. The tunes that sexy beast you saw beaming from ear to ear at the bus stop had playing in their headphones.
