Smooth Antics is a unique blend of musicians who exhibit a diverse range of influences and backgrounds.  Such an array of multi-faceted talent is notably reserved in the light of the pocket and respectful listening.  Their spacious grooves are contrasted by strategically released unspoken, unguided, and seemingly seamless improvisational releases.  Stephanie Heaghney, Jake Mayers, Jacob Ungerleider, Chris Jordan and Mike Dondero are the five constituent parts of Smooth Antics. They have unearthed and assumed a unique form of communication that is not only heard, but is also felt.  Dynamic fluidity constitutes what their live performance is all about: keeping listener’s heads noddin' to pocket hip-hop grooves and their booties shakin' to funky live soul music.
