Q: Talking about your mix: what do these tracks mean to you? In which way did they influence your later career?

A: Every track on this mix had some kind of influence in my sound, whether the drums or basslines, I can´t really specify what it is but each of them touched me in a different way.

Q: You have already played in so many parts of the planet. Where is your favorite spot to DJ?

A: I really love playing in argentina, the crowd has got a very special energy and really connect with my sets, it feels natural and super vibrant!

Q: There is a release on SOSO out in march. Which other Betoko projects can we expect this year?

A: Yes, March 24th with an amazing remix by label boss Oliver Schories! There will also be an EP on Einmusika in August, a collab EP with Mason, and a follow up EP on Smiley Fingers.

3 QUESTIONS to RAUSCHHAUS:

Q: From DnB to Trash to House and Electro. How would you describe your roots in a few words? 

A: To me Electronic Music was only connected to parties and dancing way before I started to make it by myself. From 1998 - 2010 I only focused on Hiphop, produced beats and wrote the lyrics. But beside that I always loved to dance to Jungle Music and Drum And Bass, had some Happy Hardcore tapes and loved to listen to The Prodigy, Pendulum, Noisia and acts like that. It was a slow process as I lost the connection to rap and started to plunge into the universe of Electronic Music. I soaked it all in and got to know all the different genres and their characteristics. While listening and comparing I started my own projects and was immediately hooked by all the possibilities and new influences. I started to visit a lot of clubs and spent many nights studying tracks, how they affect people and what atmospheres they can generate. When you look at my first Rauschhaus releases you can clearly hear my musical development and where my inspiration came from.

Q: What do these tracks still mean to you? And would you still play some of them?

A: Each of the tracks that I've chosen has a special meaning to me and reminds me of certain places or people. I still love to hear them and it took me quite a while to find the right tracks for this podcast. Most of them won’t fit into my playlist now but while compiling I thought that it would be a good idea to put the folder on my USB Stick to be prepared for the right moment 

Q: Which future Rauschhaus projects are on the way?

A: There are a lot of upcoming projects and I was really busy during the last months. I will release an EP on ICONYC, collaborate with Mango Alley again and will put out two tracks on Parquet. Beside that I continued to collaborate with my buddies Peter Groskreutz and Peer Kusiv and we finished a few amazing tracks together. You can expect a lot of new music soon and I am already planning new projects for the second half of the year.

It was such a pleasure to open for Andhim at Spybar on our country's birthday... one of those nights when the vibes in the club were just off the charts and everyone was dancing so hard I could literally feel the vibrations in the DJ booth. THANK YOU to everyone who was there and to Andhim for being artists who inspire me. I hope you all enjoy this set, whether it's to relive the night or to experience it for the first time. This one flowed out of me like magic.

Stereo.type is the brainchild of George and Bry, originating from the UK and Ireland respectively, they now call Berlin home. The boys honed their trademark quirky groovy sound at their And.You party series in London whilst releasing their debut track Momento on Get Physical Music in 2013. As time passed and feelings changed, the duo decided to focus on their productions in the home of electronic music, Berlin. 
 
Since the move Stereo.type have found their home on Berlin's Get Physical Music with their debut EP Wasting Time featuring singer Felix Raphael dropping in winter 2018. Their work can also be found on other cutting-edge labels such as Katermukke's MUKKE, Einmusik's EIN2, LouLou Records and Just Her’s Constant Circles imprint. 
 
Their music productions have an indefinable uniqueness with universal appeal that's seen continued support from a wide variety of top international DJs including M.A.N.D.Y, Animal Trainer, Eelke Kleijn, Dirty Doering and Martin Eyerer.  
 
Stereo.type’s DJ sets are full of energy and groove, fueled by their innate ability to guide and make the crowd move. With recent sets at Kater Blau, Watergate, Golden Gate and Bier und Birgit they’ve certainly had the opportunity to demonstrate their skills at some of Berlin’s finest clubs.
