Blue Chords - From way back - (House salad music EP 27)

French producer, Steve Faets is a self-taught keyboardist who started playing piano at the age of 12. He enters in electronic music as a DJ in the 2000s. He combines these sounds with his keyboard to add his stamp to the pieces of artist of the electro scene.

His YouTube channel makes us discover his world. It includes among others standards ranging from jazz to house (Detroit Swindle, Daft Punk) or techno (Jeff Mills, Laurent Garnier).

Jeff Mills himslef shared his cover of "the bells" on the piano on Facebook and Twitter.

Today, he is regularly seen playing in France and Switzerland and accompanying DJs on festival stages or in clubs.

His musical galaxy is tinged with jazz, funk and disco sounds that he puts at the service of house music, deep house and funky house.

The HOUSE GANG FAMILY is particularly important to him. Combining festive events with his passion for music, his partner, DJ Phileas Fogg, knows how to give him the excitement to captivate the crowds.

He has been able to internalize these experiences and now gives us his own compositions.

His productions are oriented house, deep house, tech house or soulful house and highlight his love for piano, fender Rhodes and analog synths and vocals.

The project takes another dimension for 2025, we are looking for artists !!!

Neo Apparatus is a french (based in Haute Savoie) music label launched in May 2013 by Ivan Cattaud aka "& my mother say" and specialized in electronic music.
The project was born with the desire to promote young artists but also more experienced to offer a vision of electronic music more open and without constraint or stereotype.
So far Neo Aparatus records has been collaborated with a variety of artists such as: B&S concept, BNinjas, Trecci, Wearing shoes, … and had the chance to produce very promising young artists like Denyl Brook.
Finally, the label was able to receive support from internationally renowned artists such as Laurent Garnier, Mark Farina and Shur-i-kan.

Deejay/producer, Chicago House purist, JR From Dallas draws his influences from jackin, deep and tech-house, but keeping that 90's house oldschool beat.

His tracks have been played by the finest's underground house djs such as Mark Farina, Phil Weeks, Hector Moralez, 1200 Warriors, Nick Holder, Roger Sanchez …

In 2007, he launches his label GOURMAND MUSIC RECORDINGS signing essentially american artists but also european talents. Gourmand's roster includes Giano, Cubase Dan, Tommy Largo, Bart Ricardo, Masss and Dave Dubbz just to name a few.

In 2011, Phil Weeks discovers him and signs him to Robsoul Recordings where he released a successful EP. That same year, JR From Dallas entered the family of the legendary american label TANGO RECORDINGS

JR From Dallas is now an established artist known for his unique Jackin sound. You can also find JR's music on Farris Wheel Recordings, Greenhouse Recordings, Maracuja Recordings, Phobic Recordings, Funkfield Recordings, Kolour Recordings…

JR From Dallas has been playing for many years and reached today an international level that gets him to play inJapan, USA, Canada,Scotland, Poland, Germany, England, Holland, Belgium, Czeck Republic, Slovakia, ...

Born and raised near Cologne in Germany, he was early digging his father's tape collection as a child.
Boney M, Abba and Co. were his first musical encounters, whose disco sound still influences him today.

In the mid-90s, he took his first steps as a DJ at private parties.
With two regular CD players and a Mixer, he cut Dancefloor, Take That and Metallica to create a non-stop mix for his friends.

In 1999, he moved to Munich and started his "real" DJ career. 
He bought two turntables and learned classic mixing with vinyl.
The good tracks were only available on vinyl anyway and the weekly trip to his record dealer was the highlight of the week.
The new genre French House with its emerging artists like Daft Punk, DJ Falcon or Alan Braxe and labels like Crydamour, Roulé, Grand Prix and Black Jack excited him.

Musically, he remains true to his past.
House, French House, Disco and Funky House as well as Jackin' House with influences from Jazz and the 70s are the main focus here.
But he also has musical elements from his teenage years in the 80s in his repertoire with NuDisco and IndieDance.
There may also be some Techno, but his Signature Sound is always characterised by a lot of melody, funk and groove.

In 2008, he started his project Disco Department as an umbrella brand for his work.
In addition to a podcast and a series of events to present this musical content, it has also served as a record label for his own and third-party productions since 2020.

At first beaucoup d'influences sonores dès mon plus jeune age
Soul, Funk, Hip-Hop & Breakdance...mais aussi pas mal de New-Wave, d'Indus et de Rock.
Mais rien ne laissait présager la révolution musicale qui allait arrivé à l'aube de mes 15 ans !!!

Je me suis pris une grosse claque dans la gueule en 1986!!!
Zappant sur les ondes radiophonique je tomba sur un morceau qui allait bouleversé ma vie à tout jamais: "love can't turn around" de Farley Jackmaster Funk... 
Un son jamais entendu auparavant, un son qui semblait venir d'une autre planète, une autre dimension!!!
Une semaine plus tard j'allais à la fnac du coin à la quète de ce précieux vinyle et là je mis la main sur ce fameux skeud sorti sur le label Dj International rec.
La suite s'enchainera très vite: 1ère compile sorti sur ce mème label: "The House Music Of Chicago"...
Et l'onde de choc continuera: "jack your body" de Steve Silk Hurley; "move your body" de Marshall Jefferson; "mystery of love" de Fingers Inc.; "shadows of your love" de J M Silk; etc...etc
A l'époque pas d'internet et les médias passaient sous silence ce qu'ils considéraient déjà comme un simple effet de mode, donc trouvé des vinyles relevait d'un vrai parcours du combattant. Parcours du combattant qui allait vite se revèler ètre une véritable passion...
Aujourd'hui encore mon passe temps favori est de trainer des journées entières dans les shops de skeuds à m'en foutre pleins les oreilles et fouiller encore et encore à la recherche des vinyles qui manqueraient à ma collection!!!
