To resort to nature which stands unaffected by man's stupidity is something we all (or mostly all) yearn for, there are times when I must want to stand at the bottom of The Grand Canyon and not come back up!

Lyrical wrote from my thoughts about the run up to the last general election. Thinking the last clowns made a complete hash of it and the next clowns will do exactly the same.
So who the bloody hell do I vote for. If I don’t vote then I can’t complain if I do vote I fear it will be the wrong choice. Someone told me if I write on the ballot paper none of the above then that still registers as a vote, so at least I tried. 
The idiom "pressure makes diamonds" suggests that adversity and challenges can lead to remarkable outcomes. It implies that difficult situations or intense pressure can bring out a person's best qualities, potential, and resilience, ultimately resulting in something valuable or brilliant, just as diamonds are formed under immense pressure. 
But these idiots under pressure only make dust !

This song began with Didier coming up with it on his acoustic guitar. However, when he first sent it to Josh, he had played electric guitar, bass, keys, and drums on it, because he is a very talented multi-intrumentalist. This song passes the stool test, though, which is the question of whether it sounds good with someone just sitting on a stool with a guitar, playing and singing it. So, when we asked him to give us a version that we could add to, it was already a great song that he sent us with just him singing over his acoustic guitar. 
  Tez was the first one up on this one, adding the fiery fills throughout, as well as the co-solo at the end. Ken entered the fray next, adding his rock solid, dynamic drums. Once the drums were down giving him something to play against, Josh added his fretless bass to the song. Being very excited about this one, he also added piano, organ, and eventually the lead guitar solo at the end. He also went in and added all the vocal harmonies throughout. Stephen then brought up the rear with some really cool textural guitar throughout. 
  Once we had it in the bag, we asked Tez to produce and mix it for us, which he did in his usual expert fashion. 
  This is our first song with Didier, but we hope it's just the beginning of his new inclusion into the Eclectic Collective family. He has a lot of great music on his page, which is worth checking out, too. We hope you enjoy listening to this song as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Another tune I laid down recently.  I never know what will happen in the studio. I just go with the flow. In this case, I was inspired by the plight of asylum seekers -- good people fleeing tyranny, violence, murder, slavery, subjugation, and sexual exploitation in other countries. We should welcome these poor souls with open arms! We definitely need more lawyers to help them! Anyway, I hope you enjoy my new tune. Pray for the asylum seeker!

I like Soundcloud because it's a friendly community for sharing our music. When I like your music, I say how it affected me, maybe something about how you wrote, performed or produced it. Personally I don't play the SoundCloud game of equal reciprocation. Every time my life as a Dad allows me to listen to a song... I listen to the whole song as I want to give genuine feedback and also learn as much as I can whilst here. So sorry if I don't listen and like and repost loads of your songs. Id prefer to support people by actually helping with the skills I've developed and give less frequent yet valuable feedback where possible then just playing the game of likes. That said I completely understand and appreciate people that decide to do that, that's you and you are as amazing as I am so no judgement. I just want to be clear with you that you won't get any artificial spreading of your music from here but you'll get my honest opinion based on what I imagine you were aiming for. This has helped me transcend musical taste in a way. I'm always imagining what you wanted as opposed to what I like. This has opened up some serious musical doors for me, embracing music that way instead of pre judging it based on what I've already heard... Lose the taste and expand your horizons is maybe what it is suggesting... I've always been a multi genre artist but this has activated multiple genre from an artistic point of view on steroids for TBD! A musical tri sexual.... The Get to Down! 🫡

Speaking of the music doing the talking. Make sure you use AI to enhance the development of your skill. Getting a result delivered to you that doesn't reflect your ability isn't soulful. Be honest with yourself and be honest about what technology is and how it has come to be. There is a very questionable built in theft of our spirited art works that has been used to build current LLMs so the onus is on each of us as individuals to decide both whether or not we feed that beast at all and how we let that technology feed and enhance or limit our beings...

I've had mine and I decided for now... Only my fingers and voice will feed my music. AI needs to be made conscientiously for me to embrace it at all. I may look at it for DAW automation in the future as that will free up my fingers to make better songs but I'll wait until politicians do their jobs (we'll be waiting a while no doubt) and clean it up for all of us!
