PICTUREHOUSE PART 1

A selection of contemporary lounge core chill-out tunes, selected to help rest the mind. A sonic break on the downtempo side of things, from the busyness of everything all the time. No planned order or set list, just feeling the vibes outside my window. 

These tracks are trip friendly and uplifting atmospheres, synthesized, sampled and arranged by some of my favorite beatmakers: Funki Porcini, The Irresistible Force, DJ Krush, Brian Eno + Fred Again, Sault D-Styles. Kicked off with hauntingly strange-but-good music from the TV series White Lotus. Soak up and enjoy the tropical exotica and tag along for a journey into ambient beats, psychedelic dub and sonic rainbow showers. 

This is relaxing music, chill out, music to meditate and contemplate, music that goes with a global heat wave, with just enough discordance to remind the listener that we are sitting on a precipice. This is not candy pop happiness or absolute joy, but a journey through emotions, hot and cold, transcendent and melancholy, trip wizard waltz and jazz tinged beat puzzles, lazy ride cymbals and distorted tape loops. Scratched soundtracks from future science frictions, laid back, on the lilted back beat swing, some soul in the bowl, please enjoy it and be well.

Drugscrime

I borrowed the melody of this song from a Mexican shaman i heard at Cenote Escantado, Tulum (Mexico) on the 25th December 2012. For the Cosmic Trigger Play in 2014 i composed lyrics in the Enochian language, and the cosmic cast picked up the melody and made it their own. 

This recording is from a rehearsal in Liverpool. Thanks to all the voices that congregated to make this so: Irving, Oliver, Kate, Katie, Tom, Michelle and any i forgot.

noise mate oli standing there, we looked down on the road at 
our feet and there was a plastic bag with powders in it! 
we snaffled the bag headed upstairs and tested the bag 
in true 1970's cop style "YES" it numbs the tongue 
its "FREE COKE" we cut two huge greedyboy lines 
Oli snorted first, then me we both turned slowley  backwards 
in time mouthing the words k...e...t...a..m...i...n...e.
i pressed record on my mp3 recorder, falling on my way to 
the blackhole of the couch...

this is the resulting 21 minutes

...note to self no-one EVER loses coke and doesn't find it
