Hello Everyone! You are in tune to the new rebranded Progcast, welcome along. Continuing on from where the PFG Progcast ended, we remain committed to bringing you exclusive DJ mixes from around the world. The name may have changed but the game stays the same... 

We bid a fond farewell to South American shores and a successful tour of Argentina under our wings, flying you first class north to East Coast USA. Our artist today has an extensive background in the scene here, having been involved for the last 20 years. Now a resident at Fader Events, 2023 looks a whole lot brighter too. Please make some noise for Ben Gingras! 

Ben Gingras is an American house and techno DJ who has been a deep rooted member of the dance music and rave scene for 25 years. He’s a newly minted resident for Fader Events, following a breakout live PA in support of Rodriguez Jr. & Liset Alea recently, and also headlining the closing party of St. Petersburg’s Movement Sanctuary. 

Ben is a lifelong musician, beginning in his early childhood playing upright bass in his school orchestra.  He comes from a musical family, which is often heard in his productions as piano or saxophone  elements, instruments played by his parents.  

His DJ sets are known for their intricate programming, and long mixes.  A callout to his insatiable appetite for music history and knowledge which has resulted in a deep catalog of ‘crate diggers’ that pair perfectly with modern cuts.  Ben has respected and admired the ability of music to move people, collectively, through shared positive experiences since he was a child, a gift he hopes to give back through his music. We hope you enjoy the mix!

The Progcast - Episode 167 - Ben Gingras

Hello and welcome to our 5th Exclusive Series (with Subcode) of 2023. Featuring the skills and talents of Dublin's unique trio of Electronic music artists. Each month we highlight each of our DJ's, with a 2 hour set aired every 4th Thursday of the month.

May 2023 saw Glenn Molloy take to the decks, with a Gorgonoize set. Glenn always brings a wide range of genres to his set's, often mixing in his own unreleased projects, alongside guaranteed floor fillers, creating a vibe unique to him.

Glenn Molloy is a Dublin-based DJ/producer specialising in melodic house and techno (as Gorgonoize). A fan of the scene since as far back as he can remember, sneaking into his brother's room to listen to rave mixtapes as a kid!

To Glenn, the transition from clubbing to DJing occurred fluidly and naturally, and he soon began to work as a resident DJ for a number of city centre venues, gaining warm up gigs for national festivals, and a weekly radio show on TWO of Dublin’s best underground stations over time.

Glenn is now collaborating with fellow Dubliners Soulfinder and Khankra on an events brand called Fusion Underground and is finally realising his ambitions. He has music under two aliases on OLD SQL, Mirabilis, Pro B Tech, and BC2 as Glenn Molloy, plus a release under his tougher tech nom de plume, Gorgonoize, on Opilec music. 

Glenn has also recently realised a dream of his, with a release on global superstar and scene icon Paul Oakenfold's lauded Perfecto Black marque, and with that release was also asked to DJ before the Perfecto legend at a recent gig in Cork, Ireland. Glenn warmed a near capacity crowd up to fever pitch with his own brand of dancefloor mayhem!

Aschly Gustave is @aschpintura The New York state native has in recent years has found herself living full time in London in 2018, earning a degree in Live Sound Production. Asch showcases her diverse musical palette through her monthly radio show REFUGE and during the pandemic her efforts and dedication to perfecting her craft haven’t gone unnoticed, by talent scouts; reputed blogs; venue promoters; and established labels.

Since the official reopening of the nightlife sector in the UK last July, it’s fair to say that she has just kicked off what seems to be a very promising career on the live circuit. To say she’s been on fire, is truly an understatement. She can rightfully boast playing amongst heavy hitting line-ups, for brands and venues like Night Tales; The Cause; Ministry of Sound; Printworks; Anjunadeep; Bloop Radio London; E1 and more. She has opened for the likes of Nick Warren, Korolova, Jeremy Olander, Eli & Fur, Dominik Eulberg - the list goes on.

With her diverse arsenal of record appreciation and love for music in the realm of deep, melodic house & techno, we can boldly assure you that she is already one to look out for and needs to be seen live as a priority.

Steve Parry is unquestionably at the top of the UK scene, regularly playing along side heavy weights such as John Digweed, Sasha, Dave Seamen, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo and Guy J, he is the DJ’s choice of DJ.

Widely respected across the industry, his acclaimed 3 year residency at the iconic Cream in Liverpool, seen him rise to the top, regularly being booked to headline around the world, playing in clubs such as Ministry of Sound and the legendary Space Ibiza.

His ties to his home city of Liverpool are strong, where he managed the world famous 3Beat Records, and as a promoter, Steve had much success, firstly with his legendary ‘Alderaan’ nights which ran from ’97 – 2001 in a room above the infamous Lemon Lounge and helped to shape the very scene Liverpool has become known for to this day.

Now in between touring the world, Steve and long term friend and business partner Dave Seamen head up the Selador label, with many chart toppers under their belt already and many more to come.
