A few of you might not be familiar with the music genre Totalism, It emerged in the '80s and '90s as a response to minimalism and adds a rebellious twist. It's not afraid to mix things up and throw in a bunch of different musical styles. You might hear echoes of jazz, world music, and who knows what else in there. But here's the thing – it's not always smooth and pretty. Totalism can be a bit rough around the edges. It might mess with your expectations, throwing in unexpected twists and turns. It's rebellious, eclectic. What’s not to love 🖤If you appreciate Laurie Anderson’s - White Lily, you might well enjoy my psychoacoustic interpretation called Days go by. It’s mixed but not mastered & to be played on headphones recommended for the full around the head auto panning effect.This was just a bit of fun and due to clear copyright issues won’t be released. Bunmarra was recorded in Sydney Park, near the bubbler on the corner of Euston Rd and Campbell Rd, right by the Bunmarra Wedland. 
It’s a perfect spot for meditation and on-site recordings, especially where the three-pronged sculpture meets the skimmer box. 
I’ve tried to capture the shimmer on the water and the aquasonic tones that ripple through the space.

Since the early days of parties, the Chill Out was a vital experience all of its own. A special zone dedicated to the kind of music that gave you a break and allowed you to relax and breathe, all while bathing in the warmth of its soundtrack. It's where some members of the Got Music crew got their start in DJing - playing lush and twisted music for the head rather than the feet.

Steve Sonius has been a fixture in Sydney’s underground electronic scene for over three decades. From deep, immersive DJ sets to explorations in ambient sound, his work is rooted in authenticity and experimentation.

As co‑founder of the long‑running Bad Dog parties (2000–2022), he helped shape a community around music and inclusivity. Along the way, he’s played everything from Mad Racket, Happenings, and The Phoenix, to Sleaze Ball, Mardi Gras, and Harbour Party, as well as curating intimate Ambient Guerrilla sessions at Casula Powerhouse.

Now focused on production, Steve continues to evolve his sound — weaving dub, house, and experimental textures into forward‑thinking electronic music.
