The long anticipated collaboration between Mexico City-based Theus Mago & Berlin’s Curses is finally here, bringing their punk and psychedelic rock-infused dark club music to light. The two producers joined forces when shit hit the fan during the beginning of the pandemic, eager for a return to the clubs. ‘Antídoto’ EP is a cocktail of musical styles; nostalgic and futuristic, dubby and punky, noisy and moody. Life And Death founder DJ Tennis is back on his home ground for the first time in 8 years, bringing Melbourne's finest new gen producer Luke Alessi to the party. For their first studio collaboration, they deliver an ecstatic floor-driven bomb with winks at early 90s house, all within a contemporary sound palette. 

With its pumping groove, rapturous stabs, and hallucinatory acid notes, the record is poignantly tied together via heavy tribal drums and euphoric vocal samples. “Dale Dale” is a late-night to early-morning anthem that should keep the neighbors awake all summer. 

Already part of the Life and Death family since his 2023 breakthrough release “Bey Beh,” Luke Alessi’s music sits in its own lane, refusing to be pigeonholed into any conventional genre. A frequent collaborator of Chloe Caillet, Carlita, Rüfus Du Sol, and many more established talents, 2024 has been a huge year for Alessi, with noticeable DJ debuts from Mexico to Asia via Europe and North America.

The restaurant was packed and whirring with the sounds of life. Tables lay scattered across the room as the evening drew to a frantic close. Dancers leapt from the chairs embracing the noise of the midnight escapades. The lighting was dim as groups began to twist and turn it time with the ludicrous melody blaring from the stand alone speaker. It was as if someone had blessed this place with the gift of sound, a divine rebirth. 

Stevie R & Delfin are joined by Greg Rawson on a new track set to be released on Chapter 24 records. The release is expected to land on the 7th of July.

The tenth reference of the digital series of Dogs & Vultures Records is signed by the Mexican producer Montessori aka Alfredo Cardenas in collaboration with the producer,DJ and vocalist Badmoiselle (Montessori is also part of the FLXXX project and the Label Innisfallen Records with Andrés Gomez aka Andrem), . Aircraft Reel and Fanjoyen are the original cuts of the ep, built under a line clearly focused on the dance floor and with a fine balance between the early hours of the night or those of a good after. The remixes come in charge of the Mexicans Rigopolar and Colossio, both well known in the scene and with a great doing in all their productions. Stavros Potamitis (aka Stevie R) conjures emotion and weaves sonic tales by combining the rebetiko folk music of his Greek homeland with analogue electronics. Working with a range of collaborators he offers forward thinking, avant-garde music and daring, theatrical live performances that freely blend and cross over between musical styles. As well as being a musician, producer and performer, Stevie is a lecturer at Point Blank Music College in London, runs his own record label Inside Out Records and is A & R of Chapter 24 Records. Always looking to push musical and sonic boundaries, he is just as relentlessly focused on moving things forward in his own work as he is committed to supporting the next generations to break through.
