The guest mix in the second hour is by Bultech, a DJ/ Producer from Sliven in Bulgaria. He began playing techno in 2019, collaborating with Phoenix Movement to win a Beatport best remix contest, which jump started his career. He’s had releases on Phobos, U.F.O. Infekted and many more. His track “Spice” reached No. 11 in the Beatport chart. He runs his own monthly podcast, “Technography” and he’s played alongside many accomplished artists. He has releases scheduled this year on Ballroom Black, Dark Face, Black Snake and Dolma.

A Darker Wave

#361 A Darker Wave 15-01-2022 with guest mix 2nd hr by Bultech

Clocking in at an epic five and a half minutes, “Disco“ starts out with a pulsing, tight 2/4 techno beat that instantly grips the listener. Syncopated hi hats complete the groove, and a series of brooding, low-end synth noises conjure a darkly psychedelic vibe. This forms the bedrock for the hypnotic vocal refrain delivered in a powerful low register, “Under disco lights, do you feel alright…”. What’s impressive is both the energy and vitality of the music and the top rate production which shows TOLEE has become a master of his craft. Though nearly six minutes in duration the surging musical momentum carries on till the end.
