On this edition of Comment Check, watch Toronto R&B artist RealestK react to comments from fans about his most popular songs on SoundCloud.
RealestK, a rising R&B artist from Toronto, has quickly filled the hearts of audiences with his soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics. The Lebanon-born singer’s 2021 breakout hit, “WFM,” gained millions of plays and has earned him spots on playlists like Vibes and Closer. His other hits include, “Toxic” and “Love Me” and his two full-length albums, 2022’s ‘Dreams 2 Reality’ and 2023’s ‘Real World,’ were pivotal in deepening his fanbase.

On September 27, RealestK released his new single exclusively on SoundCloud. On "Tentación," RealestK pays tribute to one of his biggest inspirations in music, the late rapper XXXTENTACION. He wrote this song to continue the legacy of XXXTENTACION, who left a big impact on the emerging artist both personally and creatively.
“The track is about the feeling of not knowing what you have until it’s gone. As XXXTENTACION used to say, and I quote, ‘nobody cares until you’re gone.’ Everyone around the world felt deeply hurt and saddened by the loss of X, and so did I," says RealestK.
“All I want to do is put great art in the world and I never want to settle for less.”
