Ascending artist Erin LeCount is collaborating with SoundCloud on an exclusive remix experience. Following the release of her ‘I Am Digital, I am Divine’ EP, the UK-based alternative pop artist is officially unleashing the stems to “Godspeed” and is eager to hear how you’d remix and reimagine the track.
A standout track from her latest project, the 22-year-old artist shares what inspired the deeply personal track, noting, “‘Godspeed’ was written as an ode to my younger self and a warning to the new girl that my ex-partner found after me. This song is the feeling of your head spinning, frustration and fear — the lyrics tell the story of a repeating cycle of hurt that you experienced and now have to witness play out again to someone else.”
With a penchant for emotive songwriting, Erin adds, “The song was a release of complicated emotions I had about speaking up against someone I loved and telling people what I had experienced, the idea that if I loved someone ‘til my dying breath’ that I was now running out of air and desperate to shout all their secrets. The girl in question actually features in the backing vocals of the chorus and is now a friend.”
“‘Godspeed’ is about re-telling the story, which is exactly what I would like you to do!”

Learn More About Ascending Artist Erin LeCount, From Reinventing Her Sound to Pushing Creative Boundaries
Erin LeCount — who was named part of SoundCloud’s Ascending program in April 2025 — is no stranger to constant reimagination and experimentation. When a snippet of the track “Silver Spoon” went viral online, Erin was still in the midst of that deeply personal part of her creative process. However, she took a leap of faith and uploaded the rough demo version to SoundCloud, months before she felt she was finished working on it. After uploading “SILVER SPOON DEMO,” the track quickly began to resonate deeply with hundreds of thousands of fans online, even entering the SoundCloud charts.
In late April 2025, Erin officially released her breakthrough EP, ‘I Am Digital, I Am Divine.’ The track “Godspeed” appeared on the five-track project, further exemplifying the beauty that can be found when you embrace periods of reimagination and take chances on sharing your work, as you never know where the songwriting process can take you. For Erin, trusting her creative instincts led her to collaborate directly with the very person the song was written about in the first place, with the track’s original muse going on to record backing vocals for the chorus for the final version.
Now, Erin wants to hear your own take on her sound. From writing over and singing your own verses to producing your very own remix, the floor is yours to rework the track in any way you like. Be sure to watch this space, as Erin will be compiling a playlist of her favorite creations and listening through them on Discord. She’ll even be dropping her own extended version of “Godspeed” featuring the song’s original verse.
