Four40 Records follow up a superb EP from I Killed Kenny in the form of 'Skanks' from fresh collaborators DECiBEL & Flowdan.

With a positive message and dynamite flow, Flowdan lays rugged vocals for DECiBEL to build a powerhouse track that is bound to send shock waves through many a dance. Not usually the type of beat the MC would usually vocal, this one causes pulses to race with a bounding drum line and a siren-like synth melody that is bound to send ravers crazy. Flowdan growls typically with superb one-liners, adding to the tracks blatant energy and raw rhythm that is sure to prove this one a dangerous weapon in any dance DJ's collection.

ENiGMA Dubz turns the track on its' head for the official remix. Providing a much grimier vibe without losing any of its' energy, this break-ya-neck style dungeon beat is one made for the 'skankers'. The remix package also features additional mixes from Hybrid Theory, DJ Cable, Lol Gurlz & Network.

With a video scheduled for release, this track is one that deservingly will cause ripples of hype through many EDM scenes.

DECiBEL Feat. Flowdan - Skanks (Hybrid Theory Remix)

At Southpoint, we constantly try to ensure that we are doing enough to support our local Brighton music scene where an entire hive of producers and vocalists reside. With that being said, Brighton producer Jake Compton makes an explosive return with 'Inversion', a track which combines colourful moog-slapping bass LFOs with some incredibly eerie atmospheric soundscaping and industrial percussive lines to string together a club-ready roller.

Aged just 14 years-old, KDYN has been making some serious waves already, with his production quality already approaching the top end of the UK bass scene. Following on from a pair of super well-received releases, we are absolutely thrilled to be welcoming back the constantly evolving sounds of Henry Wallis, a producer we are loving having involved with the 'Introducing' platform. With his previous features behind him, he goes all out on this latest piece entitled ‘Believe’, which sees him switch up the flavour into a more UKG inspired bassy stomper, fuelled by abstract vocal manipulation, colourful harmonic structures and groovy drum riffs. It’s the perfect soundtrack to any summer evening.

At Southpoint, we are proud to represent so many different areas of underground UK dance music, with so many different elements now being thrown into the melting pot. The label's roots lay in grime, however, which is why we are so happy to be welcoming a brand new Brighton-based grime producer who goes by he name of El-Laurie. He arrives with a tailslide as we unveil a war-ready creation by the name of 'Foot Soldier'. It's a fantastic introduction to the team as El Laurie perfectly fuses the swampy bass textures of new school dubstep with raucous reese bass leads and super choppy drum textures, unleashing some serious energy into the dance.
