Many species of Amphibian call in this recording.
Frogs identified visually at the time were: Harlequin tree frog (Rhacophorus pardalis), Dark-eared Tree Frog (Polypedates marcrotis), File-eared Tree Frog (Polypedates otilophus), Wallace's Flying Frog (Rhacophorus nigropalmatus) Green Paddy Frog (Hyarana erythaea) There are more frogs to be heard high up in the trees and in the leaf litter and a Sunda Scops owl(Otus lempiji).

Pool ( Kolam katak )

Stromboli Volcano in September 2016. After a summer of silence the mountain started its activity with noisy gas and little lapillus eruptions.
The crater was 300 meters lower from the point in where i was. I used a NTG3 pointed to the eruptions, an NT4 for landslides and a contact mic in the ground in order to have phisical bass.

This track features the haunting vocalizations of the Common Loon. The ambient "roar" you'll hear is the sound of gentle night breezes swishing through the treetops of large Red Pines nearby. (One critical listener calls this element "sublime.") Recorded late May, 2008. Skies were mostly clear; winds were light and variable; temp. was in the low 50s (F).

Midnight Loons - Wagner Lake

Between documentary & drone music, this piece was specifically produced for the 2017 exhibition "À quoi rêvent les forêts ?" (What do forest dream of ?) at the Paris Filles du Calvaire gallery. The sounds were recorded in the Amazon forest by director and photographer François Fleury (he is the author of the picture used for this track), between Colombia and Brazil, among the Weimaha people. The ceremony you hear in the piece are called Yurupari rituals. Some of the parts of this piece will be used for the soundtrack of the François Fleury documentary, "The origin of night". The Original gallery piece was 40mn long. Here is an edited version for a future album.

The Breathing Rainforest (field recording sound piece & installation)

Recorded in predawn light by a swamp in Ulu Muda's rainforest. In the latter part of this sample you can hear the unusual calls of Rough-sided Frogs (Pulchrana glandulosa). Agile Gibbons can be heard singing in the background along with the occasional chattering calls of Banded Langur.

Among Karen people the number of people who can play traditional musical instruments and songs has been slowly decreasing. Only a small number of Karen people living in the Karen State and along the Thai-Myanmar border play the traditional instruments and they have nearly disappeared in other areas inhabited by the Karen people.

Borneo Rainforest - Dawn - Gibbons

Night gently transitioning to day in the misty World Heritage Listed Gondwana rainforest amongst ancient Antarctic Beeches. On this January morning the subdued dawn light of the cloudy mountain top meant that the night shift of insects, cicadas and frogs continued well after the day shift begins at first light. For most of the year Eastern Yellow Robin leads the chorus but it is silent or absent on this morning. The frog calling is the "Pouched", "Marsupial" or "Hip-Pocket" frog, Assa darlingtonii, named for the brood pouches on the males, where the tadpoles travel to after hatching. (Thanks Jeremy).White-throated treecreeper is first followed at 4:30 by Alberts Lyrebird calling a little tentatively out of breeding season. Other species in this recording include Lewins Honeyeater, Brown Cuckoo Dove, Satin Bowerbird, Yellow-throated Scrubwren, White-Browed Scrubwren, King Parrot, Crimson Rosella, Bassian Thrush, Grey Shrike-thrush, Grey Fantail, Green Catbird, and the Eastern Whipbirds are feeding in pairs with an adult and a juvenile together. 
The recording begins 5 minutes before first light and continues till five minutes after dawn. Altitude 1140m ASL. Sennheiser MKH8020 in Iso-Binaural Stereo, SD702.

Fourth World Problems I

Kubah's forests are pulsing with life, and the soundscapes that can be heard in this national Park are among the most incredible I have ever experienced. This recording features the incredibly powerful sounds of Empress cicadas, along with the melodic song of the White-rumped Shama, and the rhythmic ' te-hoop 'calls of Golden-whiskered Barbets.
