From their inception in 2009, the core root of Bestial Mouths has combined Lynette Cerezo’s voice with myriad genre influences across the spectrum of goth, industrial, post-punk, New Wave, noise, metal, and other underground sounds using live acoustic and electronic drums and analog synthesizers. Since 2018, Bestial Mouths has been the sole project of Cerezo, blossoming outward as a channel to explore deeply personal lyrics of self-stagnation and trauma. New works are profoundly personal releases that bring Bestial Mouths’ journey full circle, and into new realms of darkness—teetering toward the light, yet always drawn backwards into an emotional vortex of ekstatik death.

Away from idolatry and escapism, "HAUPTFORM" is the latest EP from the creative crucible of Brussels-based mutant project Ottoman Grüw. Marking his debut release on Umwelt’s imprint, the artist unfurls three scorched electro-techno anthems ready to ignite dancefloors and a cinematic ambient track. 

Across "HAUPTFORM", Ottoman Grüw showcases his ability to inject noise elements and EBM influences to expand listeners mind, while making bridges between old school electro, techno and modern industrial music. Step in, for the sake of body control!

The A side features the track “U (Control & Destroy)” which combines massive drum patterns and disorienting atmospheres with robotic vocals - all wrapped in a technoid frenzy. Following that, “Phantom Rhythmic” provides a highenergy blend of sassy irresistible electro and cold hypnotic synths.
But wait, there’s more: on the B side “Hauptform” takes you skirting the edges of unknown realms through intricated sequences. Finally, “Life Comes From Its Own Degradation” closes the curtain with a dark, ambient and cinematic lullaby, where abstract lifeforms collide— a delicate ballet of entropy. Is it birth or decay? Perhaps both.

After release ‘Dark Vibrations', Colombian producer Magnum Opus is back to us with a new EP ‘Area Zero’. Four genre compositions are accentuating the general rhythm on a kick drum beats and harsh sequences of the bass parts.

Opening up is ‘Scythe’, with beat lost in a mix of jittery dark synths and powerful snare. The centre piece though, is the FM arps, which cut through the inviting darkness and general purpose. This is a captivating track that goes way beyond the dance floor: brilliant futuristic banger with a bright hypno sound.

The idea behind “WOMB” stems from the enigmatic relationship we cultivate with the divine - especially in our times of global sorrow, where faith wavers or seems elusive. The layer of noise by which every track is surrounded echoes the yearning of souls adrift. This spiritual disquiet is mirrored by the album’s sonic exploration of body horror, dissecting the vulnerability of our physical existence while reflecting the pervasive anxiety of our own impermanence. Where do we go when we dissolve?
