We love improve most of all and we made this playlist as a sneakpeak into our approach to brainstorming musical ideas!

Our Favorite Improve Sessions

"This is a simple ii I improve phrase looper session. I play an easy rhythm impromptu then stomp it to repeat with my GT-1's phrase looper. I brainstorm a bass line to it with a few seconds of walking on the lower scales and then stomp something easy in. I add a lead part to stomp in and then just sit back and listen to it for awhile...  Record it with my phone so I can critic it while I make tacos..." -Rick B.

You fall into a secret passage. As the corridor ends lights gleam as a room of books opens up before you. Lost knowledge reveals itself to the worthy.

 "After improving a rhythm, I stomp it in and improve a lead riff to stomp on a dub. Then I sit back and listen for a few... I liked this one enough to take a quick recording on my phone." -Rick B.

Remembering. Do not leave the present absent. The times we miss are happening without our knowing. 

This one is an improve jam from 2016. It was a midnight improve jam somewhere between the stress of rent and the angst of sleep.

Waves of tranquility wash over you, bathing warmth. Feeling has come and belonging takes hold. You are whole; trust in the power of one. We are all one.

Serenityloop is a smooth, relaxing improvised loop live on guitar using the GT-1 phrase looper. It features a lead track that weaves tranquility into the mix with creative volume swells and phrasing that keeps attack low and warmth high.

Destined is a guitar improvised track recorded raw on a phone. This loop was stomped in one live guitar track at a time on the GT-1 phrase looper during an improve loop session.

An improve session using only the GT-1 Boss Roland Pedal and a Guitar.

"It was around 2am, I had been improving and stomping on the loop pedal for the past hour or two moving from one idea to the next without thinking, only feeling my way through the music. I started a new idea and after three stomps it suddenly sounded like an orchestra of strings and violins. I recorded this sample with my phone so I can remember the idea for later!"
