TM8 Q: What were your first mixes like?
A: "When I listen my first mixes, I remember how much effort I’d put into recordig in order to make the mix sound perfect. Now I find beauty in imperfection."

Tbilisi-born, Berlin-based Sitsope delivers TM8 #34, and it’s a stomper. With tracks from @part-time-killer, @tris-extraenergy, @ufo95ufo95 and many more badass producers inside, Sitsope drops an hour of thundering energy with a touch of grace, meshing pacey techno with a psytrance twist. Having learnt to mix on vinyl and made her DJ debut in 2019, Sitsope doesn’t do filler. Instead, it’s high-energy only, stitching several genres into her sets, keeping the mood potent. She sums up her approach in her own words. “You can’t please everyone, so I think it’s important to play what you really want to play as opposed to what’s more likeable to play.”

"A two hour trip of reshaping and interacting emotional-gravitational forces in a vortex of gold and white streams of liquid fire and purple earths - forming from tears of bliss and the stinging sensation of pure love. starting from gentle first vibrations of reflective numbness and slowly building euphoria one passes by the tingles of colourful motion and spirals of rotational antigravity. one will at last reach home. the home that is found in the moments that we connect with ourselves through pain, it is a plunge into the deepest trenches of my pulsating darkness and the light it juxtaposes. i made part of this mix last summer while processing the absolute most painful episode of my life, going back to it now in new light felt only natural. i gave it new context and saw it as an opportunity for healing and expression of deeply human experiences through the most nonverbal and instinctive medium (and the one i know best): sound."

clarity is from Canada and had the great pleasure of raving in London's hard techno scene. During her brief yet full-on exposure to London rave, she frequented Jaded and FOLD, hearing first hand from her favourites including viscerale and Tham. She became drawn to trippy, spacey yet hard, industrial sounds that are fast and expressive. Her energy on the dancefloor, as captured in her front row Boiler Room appearances (e.g. Djrum), is present in her music and is present in her demeanour in real life. She wishes everyone good wellbeing and hopes to be united at the dance one day.
