Genuinely contemporary selections, acute understanding of sound and performance, as well as consistent event promotion and extensive music journalism, Initial Code’s work in the Belgian techno scene and beyond have been unignorable since 2018.

Experienced for his age already, Initial Code’s DJ sets and live performances have seen him play the most reputed clubs and events in his country as well as debuting in Paris and Berlin both under his own direction and as invitee. This is the fruit of heavy activity in the techno scene since his beginnings as his love for music has been expressed from almost all possible angles.

Behind the decks and in the studio, Initial Code’s sound retains the depth of tunneling, mental techno expressing pace and effect. Contemporary in style, his early influences lie in more hypnotic, psychedelic techno.

C12 x JAM RTBF: Initial Code

In our 80th series, we present JC Laurent, a DJ and producer who has been shaping the underground techno scene since 2012. Former resident of the iconic Kwartz Club (2016-2023), he shared the decks with international heavyweights like Antigone, Adriana Lopez, and Mike Parker. His career highlights include performances at legendary venues such as La Concrete in Paris and Suicide Club in Berlin, as well as festivals like Plages Électroniques in Cannes. On the production front, his sound journeys through Deep Techno, Future Groove, and Jungle. His tracks have found homes on labels like Hidden Recordings, Dynamic Reflection, and Suara Music, earning support from names like Richie Hawtin and Rene Wise. In 2023, he founded Cielo Records, a platform dedicated to showcasing diverse electronic styles. We invite you to explore his sonic universe in this exclusive session. Enjoy the ride!

Lasha Jorjoliani is an often unreadable enigma, lending much of his time to his studio, curating line-ups and sharpening his performances in the booth. Although an undeniable figurehead of the scene, Voicedrone is by no means explicitly tied to co-founding FOLD. 

Four years on, Lasha is in an indestructible one-way lane, having developed a graphic, dynamic sound that we come together to experience. At his core is a passion to create and nurture community; this purpose is channelled into every event he plays - here at home, in Europe and beyond. Playing at influential venues and parties including his beloved UNFOLD has preserved his significance in the underground scene and his constant admiration from the FOLD family.

The phrase “leading by example” may be somewhat overused, but in the case of Voicedrone, such a statement is entirely appropriate.

Su creatividad, valentía y búsqueda incansable de nuevas formas de expresión son algunas de sus principales y constantes virtudes a la hora de hacer música. En la pista de baile es inteligente, sofisticado y tiene un profundo conocimiento de la estética sonora. Cada sesión es importante para él, ya que se propone inventar y renovar cada vez que sube al escenario, con una elección abrumadora por la variedad y accesibilidad de la música electrónica que ofrece, donde la calidad es lo más importante y la experiencia íntima es inolvidable. Kolibri Live LP, the debut album by PETRU KSS, begins its journey. This first release unveils two tracks taken from the album, alongside their remixes.

Genesis, bold opener, ignites the voyage with hypnotic sequences and raw intensity. Trieuoppa follows with shifting rhythms and layered atmospheres, balancing drive with subtle mystery.

The release also features a Ryan Davis Rethink, expanding Genesis into a deep, widescreen progressive house journey, and remix by An On Bast, infused with playful fluidity and hypnotic groove.

Planned for release in Q1 2026, Kolibri Live LP marks an important milestone for PETRU KSS: his first album, recorded in the wild landscapes of Corsica and conceived as a voyage from nature to space. Mixed by acclaimed engineer Hannes Bieger, and mastered at Calyx, it represents quality and craft at every stage. The album lands as PETRU progresses towards the completion of his PhD in electronic music – a statement that, even in an age of AI-driven creation, human risk, imperfection, and imagination remain at the heart of art creation.
