Here's the rough mix of Moment of Truth.  Recorded at the Blue Barn Studios, Little Downham on 31st October 2013.  Featuring Kevin Flanagan (tenor), Martin Hallmark (piano), Tiago Coimbra (bass) and Steve Hynes (drums).

This is a tune I wrote many years ago with more than a nod to Julian Joseph's Language of Truth.   It is a short theme with some unusual time signatures, going from 6/4 to 5/4 and 9/4 in the head, I like the fact that it does this simply because of the way the melody flows.

When Kevin agreed to guest on our album I knew instantly this was the tune for him as a nice fit with his style and he plays some great stuff.  I love the haunting first note of his solo as it moves seamlessly from the end of the head.

"Yellow Canvas" is a song written by Stuart Braybrooke, Rob Waterhouse, and Ken McMichael in 1981, who performed as the psychedelic/prog-rock band "Hassan Sabbah". The original song was written in 4/4 and based on a theme of guitar harmonics. This new arrangement, some 35 years later, is re-arranged and performed by Stuart & Rob with 12 changes in time signature including 4/4, 5/4, 6/8, and 7/8, but still using the same guitar harmonics to set the theme.....and with a surprise club mix from DJ Hassan himself towards the end!
