Ahead of his show with us at The Steel Yard in October, @DJNickWarren brings us an hour of music for our exclusive mix series to soundtrack your Tuesday. 

Nick Warren became one of the first so-called "superstar DJs" in the mid-to-late '90s, holding down a high-profile residency at Cream in England, touring around the world, and appearing on several DJ mix albums before they became commonplace. Though he spun an eclectic array of dance styles in the late '80s and early '90s, he eventually championed the late-'90s trance sound of labels like Hooj Choons and joined the ranks of other superstar DJs like Sasha and Tall Paul. 

Nick Warren is still at the top of his game and showcasing why he is still standing as a giant within electronic music, championing a driving percussive sound and soaring musicality. Tune in and enjoy this journey!

Kicking off with Emika from the Czech Republic, great opening track almost Dubstep but not. Then not long till the excellent bassline of David August's True Romance' before a melodic ride of highs and lows with the Dj Koze remix of 'Keep Me In My Plane' and Maceo Plex's 'Falling'.
Its picks up a gear when the sounds of Dj Yellow and Liz Carelli, before the great vocals of Ruede Hagelstein on Adam Ports 'Corrosive Love' leading into Nikola Gala 'Timeless City' with parts from Goldies 'Inner City Life'.
Then onto one of the tunes of the later part of the summer, from Holland Kraak &amp; Smaak 'Lets Go' featuring Romanthony who has previously provided vocal for Daftpunk's 'Discovery album, ive added some extra parts over this just to give it something extra.
The last track is from one of my favourite producers at the moment, Sergio &amp; Bernoit were brought to my attention by their previous track 'Walk &amp; Talk' but the new 'Everybody' track is a perfect closing track for any dancefloor.

Theres not many djs with a history of creating a party as well as playing at them as Stuart Wilkinson.
After spending most weekends raving at Lakota, Karanga, Cafe Blue and driving all over the south west in the late 90’s, he soon moved from Weston super Mare to Bristol and started his own club night Empathy at Bar Latino in 2001, weekly Thursdays for over 4 years, then moving to various venues across the city such as Timbuk2, Blue Mountain, Motion and Native.
The night continued into its second decade at Dojo and celebrated its 15th Birthday at the 02 Academy with John Digweed and Nick Warren in 2016. 
Not many promoters have brought as many dis to Bristol, with the likes of Darren Emerson, Henry Saiz, James Zabiela, Lee Burridge, James Holden, Dave Seaman, Adam Freeland, Locodice, Timo Maas and many more. It was the 21st Birthday that really took the roof off in 2022 with Laurent Garnier taking centre stage.
Stuart is also responsible for the rise and creation of Mr Whompy, for a decade the Ice Cream Van Soundsystem has been a firm favourite at Boomtown, Elrow, NIbley, Stoke Croft Block Party, Lemonfest and many more. 
Over the years Stu has also started various other club nights such as Unity at Lakota, Loop at Blue Mountain, Hope at Arc, Digital at Dojo, Dirty Blue and Arc, Empathize at Big Chill and Double Disco at various venues.
Stuart has also been lucky enough to play Glastonbury many times and overseas in Empathy in Auckland, Prague and Ibiza and dis gigs in Portugal and Poland plus Creamfields in Prague.
