Forget all the patronising nonsense that brings club culture closer to 1960s values. Djette? Djane? No need. DJ is the only prefix required here: DJ Natalie Brogan.

Having achieved more in a mite over half a decade than many peers will in a career, taking on the lads at their own game in the process, whatever gender-based cliches you might want to throw at her – equal parts stylus and stylish; beauty and the beats – be prepared to eat those words.

Taking influence from artists as diverse as Massive Attack and David Bowie, initially half-inching her brother’s ‘kiddy decks’ as a youngster, Natalie refined her artistic craft on her native Manchester club scene. Playing alongside the A-lister likes of The Hoxton Whores, Haçienda stalwart Dave Haslam, Danism (Defected) and Tube & Berger, it’s a city where Natalie has since returned to play the main room at the legendary Sankeys.

After quitting her day job in 2009 and jetting to Ibiza for a season that included shows at Eden and Es Paradis, she was soon on the move again, zooming across the globe to land in modern Middle Eastern party paradise Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. Beginning with a residency at the five-star Fairmont resort, a spot at Dubai’s Alpha club followed, as did notable press from OK magazine, Time Out and Infusion. DJ Magazine in the Middle East agreed with the snowballing acclaim, voting her 37th best DJ after a mere month in the region.

Natalie’s feet have barely touched the ground since. December 2010 saw her land a dream gig at Creamfields Abu Dhabi, claiming a main stage billing before megastars Above & Beyond, David Guetta and Afrojack, on a line-up that also featured James Zabiela, Sasha, Sander Van Doorn and Gareth Emery. A nomination in the 2011 Time Out Dubai Nightlife Awards for Dubai’s best local DJ followed and Natalie went on to host her own weekly night at Sublime in Dubai World Trade Centre. International recognition was also on the agenda, gracing events in Bahrain, Jordan and Qatar.

You want more? Not a problem. In the past 18 months alone, try Formula 1 yacht parties with Danny Rampling. Residencies at Abu Dhabi’s luxurious Monte Carlo Beach Club, Jumeirah at Etihad Towers and Hyatt Capital Gate. Headlining Immaculate Touch and Aloft pool parties, overseas jaunts to India and Egypt, plus return trips to Bahrain and Dubai (the latter at top-level venues Nasimi Beach and 360º). A monthly nightlife column in the UAE’s best-selling entertainment magazine What’s On Abu Dhabi. An official Emirates ambassador role with Stoli vodka.

We’re not done, either. Two further Creamfields Abu Dhabi slots – in 2011 on the main stage alongside Laidback Luke and Tiësto; still to come in 2012, on a bill featuring David Guetta, Armin van Buuren and Example – and opening for the aforementioned Guetta in March 2012 at Abu Dhabi’s Du Arena in front of 15,000 people. Press in Rolling Stone Middle East (a two-page spread, no less), becoming the Middle East’s first hologram DJ and, in 2012, a personal invitation to return to Manchester Midi School, where she learnt the basics herself, to inspire present-day students with a video diary of her progress.

Ditch the divides, get rid of gender politics, can the cliches. All that remains is one of the Middle East’s scene-leading spinners: DJ Natalie Brogan.

Few figures in contemporary music have influenced their respective fields the way Frankie Knuckles has revolutionized dance music.As one of the most renowned DJs in the world, Frankie Knuckles is still packing dance floors with his unique style for almost 30 years. Legions of admirers during his travels penned Frankies nickname The Godfather of House the press picked up on it and made it stick.

He has played a pivotal role in the creation and evolution of house music, which has become the dominant staple of dance clubs throughout the world. It was this celebrity and his constant fundraising for some of his favorite charities dealing with aids, homelessness, and education of our youth, that garnered him one of the most prestigious honors by the City Of Chicago.

On August 25th 2004, the Mayor of Chicago proclaimed the date Frankie Knuckles day, and a street naming Frankie Knuckles Way .As a Producer and Re-Mixer, Knuckles lent his talents to some of R&B and Pop musics elite. Artists such as Mary J. Blige, Sounds of Blackness, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Diana Ross, Luther Vandross, Michael Bolton and Toni Braxton. Frankies production and mixing career was officially recognized by the music industry in 1997.

He became the first recipient of a Grammy for Remixer of The Year and has served as a Governor and Trustee, for the NYC Chapter of The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences.As an artist enjoying the success of two Virgin Records releases, Beyond The Mix and Welcome To The Real World . The first album included The Whistle Song which is most memorable as the Lipton Ice Tea commercial in the mid 90’s.

In 2001 Definity Records released the single Keep on Movin by Frankie Knuckles featuring vocalist Nicki Richards. The new song opened his Mix album Motivation and was the beginning of the collaboration between Knuckles and Richards 2004 A New Reality release. Billboard Magazine writes in the Album Reviews noteworthy section Knuckles strings together an inspirational and spiritual collection of gospel-infused club songs .

With critical acclaim from nearly every Electronic Dance and Club Culture magazine through out North America and Europe. Definity strategic crossover plan launched with a visibility campaign in Major Chains for Black History Month in February. Reviews in Vibe, Ebony, Black Beat, Essence, and BET made this Motivation album the first Def Mix Productions release to garner recognition with mainstream Afro American press.

Knuckles was back in the USA mainstream with his positive message. The launch of his Motivation world tour put Knuckles message again in the forefront on an International level and Knuckles realizes post 9/11 was a New Reality for him. In 2003 Knuckles released an exclusive mix album for Armani AX which also renewed his positive Message, and introduced the forthcoming studio album.He started digging through the vaults and writing, and came up with his first studio album to release in 7 years.

A New Reality released April 2004 in the USA, UK, Italy, Australia, and Japan simultaneously, and continues to receive media attention. Knuckles Launches his A New Reality” Tour on the heals of his Bac N da Day success around the globe. Bac N da Day is the first collaboration in 20 years with long time friend, House legend and co writer Jamie Principle. His second single Matter of Time features Nicki Richards, who is one of the most sought after vocalists in the USA. She works with everyone from Janet Jackson to Stevie Wonder. A breath of fresh air, Nicki is featured on half the album and is backed by some of the most amazing vocalists the business has to offer. She also sings with Will Downing who sings backing vocals for her on What’s Goin On .

Knuckles continues to use his celebrity and much of his spare time providing entertainment for various AIDS charity events. He supports anything that has to do with children, noted as saying I cannot stand to hear a child cry of want, hunger, or a lack of love . He has let his services for many past organizations, including Meals on Wheels, GMHC, Pediatric AIDS, and most recently Harvey Milk School.

David Morales is a globally revered American DJ, a Grammy award-winning record producer, songwriter, and businessman. He has produced and remixed over 1000+ records for an all-star roster of multi-platinum artists, including Mariah Carey, U2, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Madonna, and Whitney Houston. A true legend of house music, the global phenomenon and penetration of dance music into Top 40 radio would not have been possible without him.
More recently, Morales launched DIRIDIM Records in 2018. With this new label, David is signing and developing new talent - and naturally, releasing some of his own music. In 2020, due to the global pandemic and inability to travel, he launched, Sunday Mass, a livestreaming show on Twitch to entertain his fans across the world. The 2021 IMS Business Report based on data, cited him as one of the dance music artists who experienced online success during the pandemic. Into post-pandemic times and with the reopening of clubs all over the world, David continued his legacy as a native New Yorker and trailblazing DJ, constantly gracing the best international stages with recent standout performances such as the Hacienda Warehouse Project in Manchester, Clockwork Orange in London, Stereo Montreal, EDC Vegas, Hi Ibiza, and After Caposile Venice. In 2024, David Morales is holding a residency at the legendary Pikes Hotel in Ibiza during the summer. A pinnacle in his repertoire is also the ongoing success of the Sunday Mass parties in NY, featuring both club nights and legendary boat parties during the summer. These events stand as a testament to Morales's enduring impact as a true legend on the house music scene. On top of this all, David is on the brink of releasing a new LP, 'Sunday Mass Vol. 1', the inaugural installment in a series with more to come in 2024. David Morales has transcended musical genres to create a global brand. His music productions have appeared in popular films and television shows, including The Devil Wears Prada, Ninja Turtles 2, Don’t Mess With the Zohan, and Star (TV Series). His DIRIDIM radio show can be heard on Ibiza Global Radio and numerous other stations around the world which is streamed to millions of listeners around the world. In 2016, Morales was the lead judge on “Top DJ” a national television series broadcast on Italia 1. When it came time to wear his fashion model hat, Morales appeared in a global advertising campaign for luxury design house, Iceberg.

David Morales honed his skills as a DJ in the 1980s and 1990s at such legendary clubs as the Ozone Layer, Paradise Garage, Red Zone, Zanzibar, Tunnel and Club USA just to name a few. When the remix and DJ work began taking off, Morales teamed up with house music legend, Frankie Knuckles, and For The Record DJ Pool founder/NYC nightlife impresario, Judy Weinstein, to create Def Mix Productions.
Morales’ prolific production career kicked into high gear in the 1990s with the release of his solo debut album, “The Program” by David Morales & The Bad Yard Club. In the late-1990s, with hundreds of remixes (Mariah Carey’s “Dreamlover,” Janet Jackson’s “Throb,” Alison Limerick’s “Where Love Lives,” CeCe Peniston’s “Finally,” Jamiroquai’s “Space Cowboy”, Jaydee’s “Plastic Dreams,” Robert Owens’ “I’ll Be Your Friend,” under his belt, Morales recorded the groundbreaking house classic, “Needin’ U,” under the alias David Morales Presents The Face. Morales’ second album, “2 Worlds Collide,” arrived in 2005, followed six years later, by his third album, “Changes.” 
David Morales was nominated for his first Grammy Award in 1996 as a Producer on Mariah Carey’s album, ‘Daydream’ for the song ‘Fantasy’. In 1998 he won a Grammy Award for “Remixer of the Year.”
Though Morales’ past is surely one for music’s history books, the DJ-turned-artist always has his eyes firmly focused on the future—on what lies ahead. He keeps an ear to the ground, regularly exploring new music, new artists, and hotly tipped DJs who might inspire him to “go and do my homework.” He happily embraces the new generation of clubgoers. “They don’t care about yesterday”, he says, with a knowing smile.
