& just like that... its the summer time again! Barebulb Sessions episode 11 kick-starts the summer season with a killer all-vinyl selection of jazzed-up, funked up, sizzlin' soul & dreamy, gritty house to soundtrack whatever it is you're up to under those blue skies!

Derek Curtis is no stranger to the Teesside DJ circuit having been a regular face serving up a great taste in house music across the towns more popular venues during the mid-late 90s & early 2000s, including regular stints at The Arena & a DJ competition win at (the much loved) Bar Zantia on Albert Road.

Following a brief hiatus, Derek returned playing an integral part in the Groovebox events throughout Middlesbrough, Darlington & Newcastle bringing to town legends such as Mark Farina & Greg Wilson as well as a host of emerging & established names such as Mr Mendel, Kon & others. Taking on a more eclectic taste & playing to the areas trendier nightspots, Derek's versatility has recently seen him support the likes of Heller & Farley, Get Down Edits & the launch of the upcoming Electric Boogie Disco Warehouse featuring edit king, Al Kent on 8/6/19 at Base Camp, Middlesbrough.

Involved with Electric Boogie in Middlesborough, Derek J Curtis AKA Curtis Scott steps up to the plate with 4 dubby cuts of future disco and low slung goodness. 
Opening cut "Right Time" is pure nu-disco with pulsating bass and clever vocal snippets throughout creating a strutting future disco banger. 
"AJ" is next up taking things in a sleazy slo-mo direction thats the perfect warm up track underpinned with soul-filled undertones. 
"Get Over" ramps it up again with more dubbed out disco reminiscent of early Revenge material with its superb blending potential then finally "Rio Scandal" finishes a fine EP with tropical disco snippets and pure sunshine vibes!
