Formed in 2004 by Tim Dwyer, Off Land is influenced by music such as Javanese gamelan, ambient techno, and meditative drone. Tim's music is sparse yet texturally intricate, lying in some sort of electro-acoustic limbo between Namlook's more dusty ambient collaborations, emotive landscapes, and pulsating rhythmic structures.

For the third installment of our ‚Identity formation‘ podcast series, we are thrilled to announce Kraut Sounds (@kraut-sounds). Kraut Sounds lives in the South of Germany. Originally started in spring 2012 as a dub techno project, evolving since then into an experimental electronic outfit with deep ambient roots and a certain kraut electronic vein.

Kraut Sounds released numerous EPs, albums and live sessions for several dub techno, ambient and drone netlabels: Büro für Erdrotation, Terra Rossa, Spiel:feld Records, Diametral, Dimbideep Music, Drone Works International (all Germany), Whitelabrecs (UK), Stellar Transition (France), Adept Label (Spain) and Dub Techno Blog (UK).
Podcasts of Kraut Sounds can be heard at Deep Electronics, Echogarden, Hello Strange, Spiel:feld, Moshitaka and Technopoetry.

Kraut Sounds has a side project named Polaroid Notes for piano, contemporary classical and ambient sounds. Up to now Polaroid Notes has done several digital and limited edition CD releases on British labels Whitelabrecs, Tessellate Recordings and Audio Gourmet as well on German Büro für Erdrotation, Drone Works International, Weber & Alcantu and Gallery Mol.

For the fourth installment of our ‚Identity formation‘ podcast series, we are happy to present Mind over MIDI (@mind-over-midi-1). Hailing from Kristiansund on the northwest coast of Norway, Helge Tømmervåg has been crafting electronic sounds since the early '80s. His earliest work recorded under the now-familiar Mind over MIDI moniker arrived in the early '90s. He's released scores of highly regarded and stylistically uncompromising sounds over the years, appearing on labels including Silent Seasons, Diametric, Hibernate, Whitelabrecs, ROHS! Lontano Series, Shimmering Moods Records, Slow Tones Collages and via his own Berserk Fabrik.

His music can be described as sounds for daydreamers and nighthinkers. Inspired by the icy winds, snowy vistas and frozen landscapes in Norway.

If you can picture the very furthest, coldest, darkest part of Norway, that's where Mind over MIDI resides. If you want to get an idea of what it's like there, and can do without the frostbite, then this is the perfect solution.

@trommellive, the name that hides behind Sergio Garcia, settled in Madrid few years ago. His beginnings were more focused-on techno during his youngest stage, thereafter he began feeding his musical knowledge through experimental sounds, field recordings, audiovisual design and visual art, without leaving his origins.

With a voracious search for textures and a part of organic electronic music, in December 2015 his first debut album "Siete Emociones" (seven emotions) was published, his name being one of the renowned by the record label that published him: NXT RECORDINGS.

Some media describe his music as a warm sentimentalism that fusions more cerebral and abstract sounds, becoming one of the new promises in avant-garde electronic music. In 2016, he was nominated for best live by vicious magazine awards. On July 22 of 2018 he publishes a new single by the label SUNGATE RECORDS, with an EP of 4 tracks in vinyl format that is having a positive impact with the most important media nationally and internationally.

Apart from clubs, gigs and festivals where he has taken his music into different corners of Spain, he has also participated creating his own music for different cultural events like museums.

Adhémar is a multi-disciplinary artist, establishing his universe through music and visual works.
Constantly in search of the luminous quality of sounds, in a world made of shadows and light, his music is closely linked to his plastic work. 
This obsession with shadows leads him to think and create spaces, atmospheres that focus on the lightness and poetry of light. The idea of "narrative potential of music", allows us to confront the psychological and philosophical journey with a particular relationship on what is alive and what surrounds us (whether it is the material, immaterial world, the fact that everything is constantly becoming). With a particular rigour for transitions, whether in his own production or in his DJ set, his universe is built little by little, with the passing of sound transformations and the light and poetic transportation of it all.

welcome to the 146th chapter of the Deep Electronics Podcast. The weekly released podcast that brings you the best deep music. This weeks set is mixed by Antonio Vázquez. It took a while but I am very happy to welcome him to the this serie. He created a massive deep techno set  for this occassion. So take a seat and enjoy the ride!

Bio:

Antonio Vázquez is a dj and music producer from Seville (Spain) and based in Berlin since 2011.
He started in producing in 1998 and when he moved to Madrid two years later when he began to
play. There he had the chances to play in different bars and events, until he had the opportunity to
play at Cassette Club on the inauguration party and two times more. His style was always focused
on environmental and organic sounds, shifting sometimes on more minimalistic and electro tones.
The productions where always different styles because of his eclectic music taste and because he
made different works for advertisements and web sites.
But was when he arrived in Berlin and after meeting really inspiring friends, when he develop into
deep techno. And after his podcast for T_Mood, he experienced a really fast and increasing success.
Playing at ://about blank multiple times in different events, in Manchester at Komme, Pseucho Club
in Leipzig and specially he had the biggest chance to play three times at Berghain. After that he
played in many different places around Europe and in Berlin and his productions started to be
relased in Shaded Explorations, Hypnus Records and Semantica.
He is actually involved inside Hypnus Records preparing more productions and EP's.

Waypoint - Burning Man Sunrise Set 2018

Efdemin has all but perfected his deep, expertly reduced take on house and techno. The German artist has mastered his form over the course of numerous 12”s on various labels, including three albums on Dial Records. They are intricate, mind bending affairs that take you in on yourself and constantly explore new ground. His hybrid mix CD on his own Naïf imprint and Curle last year was another career high point, and recently he has turned himself towards experimental and microtonal composition with yet more fascinating results. February 2019 will see Ostgut Ton release New Atlantis, his latest album and one inspired by Francis Bacon’s unfinished 17th century novel of the same name. Promising to fuse his left-of-centre take on dance music with a new found passion for experimental sound art, it’s the latest chapter in a fascinating artistic story. 

His podcast for us is a decidedly club-focussed mix, featuring the sort of warped synths and underlapping grooves you would expect of the man. There are multi-layered tracks of percussion, sound design and stringy rhythms to start, then things slip into long, draw out passages of tunnel vision techno before the drums begin to hit harder to carry you home. At times playful, at others deadly serious, it sums up the career of Efdemin perfectly.
