I've been in awe of Debra Buesking's music for a while, so what a joy and pleasure its been to collaborate with her on this track.  Debra took my simple little composition and dressed it up in the finest of clothes with some beautiful playing.  I was half tempted to release just the piano track!

Aysgarth Falls (feat. Debra Buesking)

Many years ago, shortly after sunset my fathers brother Stan (aged 20) climbed aboard an aircraft along with 4 other young men. After taking off they effectively vanished into the night sky, with no trace of the aircraft or its crew ever found. This piece is dedicated to Stan and all of the young men, of all nationalities, whose lives have been cut short by war.

A Diamond's Quest

Dans les collines de Lammermoor, au sud de l’Écosse, Lucia retrouve à chaque aurore un mystérieux jeune homme dont elle est amoureuse : Edgardo, de la lignée des Ravenswood. 

Mais comme dans "Roméo et Juliette" de Shakespeare, les amants sont issus de deux familles ennemies et n’ont pas le droit de s’aimer. L’histoire authentique de Janet Dalrymple – qui assassina son mari pendant sa nuit de noces et le paya de sa raison – avait déjà inspiré un roman à Walter Scott. 

En la mettant en musique, Gaetano Donizetti offre à l’opéra romantique italien l’un de ses emblèmes, avec notamment « l’air de la folie » de Lucia, qui exige de son interprète une technique exceptionnelle et une grande sensibilité dramatique. 

Il ne manquait plus que le metteur en scène Andrei Serban pour transcender ce moment crucial en une expression de joie libératrice qui rompt les brides d’une société masculine étouffante.

Hello Soundcloud, thanks for the Listens, Likes and Support. Im from Melbourne Australia, I have been playing guitar for many years now and played in two bands during the 80's & 90's (STOLEN CAR original) & (STORM cover),both bands never released any material. Since 2010 i have been writing songs and tunes and recording them in my music room (3rd Bedroom), i play Guitar, Bass, Keys, BFD2 Drums(programmed)and Vocals on all of my songs which i class as Demo's, I love all types of music but Hard Rock, Rock to Alternative appeals to me most.
