CATBEAR, consisting of best pals Zoe and Sarah, are based between London and Brighton. Their unique popwave style combines 80s synth-poptimism, 90s riot grrrl spirit, 00s danceable post-punk revival, and the experimental and queer liberation of the 10s. Their lyrics cover LGBTQ+ life, millennial disillusionment, insomnia, unrequited love, and self-indulgent longing, with an “it’ll be ok in the end” undertone. Initially conceived as a home studio project following the dissolution of their previous band, their fiercely DIY spirit led them to self-produce and self-release their music, garnering over 2 million Spotify streams.

Zoe Konez is a British singer-songwriter, guitarist, and producer, known for her unique blend of indie folk and acoustic pop. Based in Brighton, Zoe’s music is distinguished by her innovative guitar-playing and emotionally resonant lyrics, which explore themes such as loneliness, friendship, self-esteem, and mental health.
